I concur - rivnuts. Drill a hole barely larger than the nut, use the bolt, nut and washer to put them in place. Honestly, they should have instructions (and the drill bit). if not, thread the bolt into the rivnut with the nut above the rivnut. Insert the rivnut in the body hole, then tighten the nut - that will compress the rivnut like a pop rivet.

I wondered how that was attached.... now I know. I've those brackets on order as well...

Ok so I drill a hole then insert the rivnut in the hole after that I get my mounting bracket and line it up with the rivnut and use the bolt to tighten it?

You should defiantly post detailed instructions on how you did it after you're done with pictures.

Not a bad idea I would be down for a set. Let's get together and I wouldn't mind putting in the leg work with to get a group buy.
Im in for a set if they ship internationally. Will just need to figure out a way to mount my 40" on it. (Maybe mount it on those 50" U cradle with one D2 on each side)

Use the existing hole in the pillar, and bolt the bracket to the pillar using that one hole. Use that as alignment to mark the other two holes per each bracket. (Either with a marker or a hammer/punch in the center of that hole) then REMOVE the G2 bracket, drill the two new holes in each side of the A-pillar. Insert the Rivnut into the hole, tighten down the Rivnut to install it permanently into the sheet metal, then bolt on th G2 bracket again.

So after I drill the the hole and insert the rivnut into it won't it just fall out? How do I tighten the rivnut

I got a high quality import light bar that has worked great for almost 3 years and counting. I don't understand why everyone thinks that everything foreign is garbage and everything american made is amazing.

Holy carp that's not a bad idea, think you could draw something up so I can get a better idea? I have two 4" and four D2.

Im sorry about the drawing part, but below is a picture of the U cradle:
attachment.php

We can mount the 40" in the middle of the cradle, and one D2 on each side. If the D2s mount like the Auroras I have:

attachment.php

Then the D2s body can probably overlap abit over the base mount of the 40" light bar mounts hiding part of it, and you can have them pointing slightly sideways for more side coverage!

The cradle can then be mounted directly to the G2 mounts.

Offcourse thats ALL talk, but unless I figure out a way to sell my 40" and wait for a 50" (or an alternative way to mount them), this is what Im planning to do.

I know if you get the RI it comes with harness and button. If I was closer to you I would knock it, hardest part is where you want the button.
