This thread has me confused.
Is it really that difficult to mount light bars? And do they not come with mounting hardware?

They all come with mounting brackets and hardware, but they are universal and not vehicle specific. So they would look out of place and be an eye sore. So, enter the vehicle-specific brackets for a better fit.

Not difficult at all. All the hardware comes with the brackets. All you need is a 50" light bar.

Just for reference a 50" will be 288 watts a 52" will be 300 watts. The brackets will need to bent outward if you go with a 52" light bar.

Everything is is easy and straight forward if you buy a 50" light bar and g2 brackets

Not a bad idea I would be down for a set. Let's get together and I wouldn't mind putting in the leg work with to get a group buy.:cheers:

All of my stuff should be in tomorrow, battery cables, distribution block, bar, and mounts. My harness came in yesterday. But i'll be in Kentucky for the next 3 days.

Mine bar is a high quality import. Just for safe measure. Tape off the lens and put another coat of paint and clear on it. It will do wonders for the longevity of the finish.

I got a high quality import light bar that has worked great for almost 3 years and counting. I don't understand why everyone thinks that everything foreign is garbage and everything american made is amazing.

What paint should i use? And i was going to black silicone all around the lens. To make sure i don't have the condensation problem some others have.
