Could you send me thos hole layout? I'm a DYI'er and i'm going to make some out of 3/16 or 1/4 plate aluminum. The bends I can figure out. but the layout of the hole would be sweet.

Question for you. You take your car to the shop and ask "how long" which really means "how much?" They say 3 hours, $270.00. You say "is that just an estimate?" they say "yes." You take it to them, they find out that it's really just drilling 4 holes and popping the nutserts in place and it takes them 1 1/2 hours door to door (in the door, out the door) so they charge you $135. Are you mad at them? Do you demand to pay them more money because they said it was more? How about this - so they pull the car into the shop, and some dumbass attached your side pillar covers with adhesive. It takes them 4 hours to unclusterf&&& the issue, but they only charge you 3 hours because that was what they said they would charge. Are you mad, do you demand to pay them 4 hours?

Really, just calm down and try to see it from their perspective. If you wonder why, all reputable shops will tell you pretty much what I just typed - they'll explain that they're giving you the best estimate based upon their experience - and they'd rather you're not mad at them when you leave for bidding an 1 1/2 hours then charging you for 3 hours because of the problems. They don't know until they do it, you're a Hummer guy who takes his Hummer off-road... they're already your friend because they like off-road too.... unless, of course, you slander their name on the internet and call them a bunch of thieving whores... then you'll have made an enemy out of a potential friend

I know where you're coming from but one of the reputable shops last time ripped me off for an alignment. They said the chamber was out of alignment so they charged me 50 bucks to take off the wheel...50 bucks...and the funny part is they didn't tighten it enough so the next day when I hit a curb and the front end got knocked out of alignment so that's 180 bucks down the drain with no warranty... when I called I explained to them how simple the install and that I would do it myself but I just don't trust myself enough to drill and they all still said 3 to 4 hours. Maybe it's just the area I live in because it's full of rich snobs so the shops just take advantage of that. Oh yeah and another time a shop wanted 900 bucks to replace the radiator... I said f that and did it myself

I have only one mechanic in my area whom I will take cars to be fixed (which isn't terribly often because I've a pretty good shop myself) - so I get the there are some thieves out there - my point is you should develop a relationship with just one... even if they are a bit high in price. e.g. the mechanic friend, I have no idea the number of times I've gone to him to read codes or to ask a question of his mechanic software and been charged nothing for doing so... in fact, he encourages me to do so. Have I always got a great deal from him? no, Have I always got a fair deal? most times, but not always, have I felt I paid too much? a few times.... however, if you were to add up the diagnosis, or experience questions I ask him, you'd find that I paid pennies in the whole. I go to him when I can't figure it out - example, I had BMW that wasn't running right - he did a basic diagnosis then pointed out the service bulletin that suggested I'd be into the car $3,000 - $5,000 to fix it (and still have a $3,000 car) cost for the diagnosis? free. Other, less reputable mechanics, I'd be out 1,000-2000 for the removal of the head then I'd get an "oh, by the way, the head should have been recalled and a replacement head is $3,000"

These are made specifically for h3. I do not have install photos. But I can explain it a little. They are made to use with our led bars. Not saying they will not work with others but we can't guarantee that. There is three mounting holes one is a stock screw on pillar for location and then you need to drill two more for "smashed inserts" to bolt bracket to. You will have to replace stock screw with same hardware used on other two holes. I hope this helps. Either way let me know.

Came home from Kentucky today, and i had my mounts and took some shots with them. Hopefully I can get some instructions and advice on them.

The kit came with 6 rivnuts, 4 screws, and 1 bolt. I'm guessing the 6 rivnuts go into the 6 holes but I have no idea what to do with te bolt and screws.

The last hole on the mount bolts on to the existing hole... It's really not that hard just the drilling and rivnut I'm scared of. Wiring is easy

What I need is the hole measurements from each other. I found the nut rivenuts. got those on order. like ( hole 1 to 2 to 3, O___2 1/4___O_____2 1/2_____O ). I would just to drill two holes and they be wrong.

So i drilled a hole small enough to where only the nut would fit because i couldnt get the riv nut to work, whats the problem with doing it this way? It seems sturdy
