Body lift?

Just did the day star last weekend. Went smooth for a So Cal truck, bolts came right out. Gap is not even noticeable to anyone but you. I would stay at 1" and keep the sway of truck to a minimum. I have 325/65-20s with t-bar cranked to what was 23.6". Ride is still good but can tell the difference. I trimmed bottom of front wheel well on the rear of it by about 2" and still rub at full turn, but I have 20x12 wheels so they are a little wider than most. Try the 1" and if you need more than go from there. If you need an extra hand PM, I live pretty close to you.

Would you mind posting a few more pics of your h3 after the body lift install? Thanks

I have pics I can post from mine. To fix the gap on the rock rails, I just went boulder crawling and slammed them a few times in Last Chance Canyon.

Thank you the quick response. I have been debating on what will and tire package I am going to upgrade to. Leaning more towards 22x12s Your rig looks great especially with the 20x12s. Do you have any major rubbing? Thanks again

Can't turn all the way but I am within an inch of full turn. Only rubs when I park and need to really crank the wheel. I have a 4.75" offset on fuel 20x12s with 325/65r20 duratracs. Americas tire would not mount smaller (35/12.5/20), but I am glad I went larger and will get the rancho with 37/13.5/20s when these wear out. Having the 5.3L motor, I almost don't notice the larger tires slowing me down. Air doc and k&n should bring me back to normal.

Just bonded the cut plastic Hood vent back on today. This is temporary, if it works good I will get the $350 stainless black powder coated unit that rivets on. So far temps stay around 205 and trans 175-180

Good to know! I have been looking at this mod and trans cooler while I save for UCP. When you say bonded, does that mean the clips broke getting the vent off? I stopped prying today as I didn't want to get pissed off by breaking them.

If you pinch them on the backside of hood it helps. They had a recall on the vents as they where flying off. The fix was black bonding adhesive. Mine only had 4 clips left on it total. I used tuff stuff gassed/binding adhesive.

I'm really thinking of the hockey puck body lift. It would cost me about 45.00 instead of 250. All I need are the pucks and grade 5-8 bolts. Or some 1x1 heavy steel cut into 3" sections and capped off

Daystar uses a higher grade bolt too (stronger than stock) for the body lift.

When I did the body lift I recalled the oem where 9.8 (i have a bolt o believe somewhere i could check later)
