Met up with a few guys from a local 4x4 group and did a nice trail ride through the Ocala National Forest.

The lineup for the day was two jeeps, two 4-runners and the H2.

Coolest part of the days was my two boys getting to see a mama black bear and her two cubs. Its usually pretty difficult to see them in the wild like this because they are usually long gone by the time you get to them.

Just replaced the right rear parking brake cable for the 2nd time. This time i rerouted the cables over the axle so it will never get yanked again when on the trails.

Great idea and a good simple solution. I can't stand the OEM location of the parking brake cable, it rubs itself raw on the lower trailing arm. Although, I've never had an issue with it getting caught on stuff though, but that could just be luck.

I charged the battery since I haven't driven it since the 4th of July. I'm also planning on actually starting it up this weekend :giggle:

I installed all new LED lights for the interior. They are way more bright and look a lot better in my opinion. I am now in the process of building a dual 10 inch down-firing sub-box for the second row seat. Looking forward to completing it. I will post pictures of the process upon completion with details for the subs, the connectors, and the amplifier. QUESTION: does anyone else find it impossible to upload pictures? I have never successfully uploaded an image.

Finally got around to ditching my junk halogens and replacing them with LED bars. Driver side is slightly different, long story with the amazon seller. These things are at least 3 times as bright as the old halogens I had.

Awesome, you'll love the extra height of the 38's. What's the backspacing and offset of the wheels?

I decided that 38s was about a far as I wanted to take the factory drive train, the backspace is 4.53" and the offset is -12mm. Decided to go with 4.53" backspace since the factory wheels were roughly about 5.56" and these toyos are 13.5" wide compared to the 12.5" wide MT/Rs I have now. That should set the wheels out just enough. I put the spare on late last night and I can tell the backspacing will be just right.

Yeah decided I need to inject some new life into the old girl and give her a well deserved face lift. We will see how much rubbing I get, but I'm sure it will be minimal, so a nip and a tuck here and there should be fine.

No rubbing unless at full lock and I mean just barely, way less than my 37s on oem wheels. I'm sure they'll rub when I stuffed them good in the fender off road, so that test is coming soon. I'll grab you a pic from front and back, but I think the offset is just right, sticks past the fender by maybe an inch or inch and a half. I might have even gotten away with more backspace instead of 4.5", but I really liked these wheels.

That looks pretty good. I'll have to measure mine and see how different it is from my 37"s on stock wheels. I'm interested to see how they do when you stuff them turned.
