Finally got around to using the clay bar on my hood. Thing had so much overspray it wouldn't even shine after being washed. Looks much better now after a good hand wash!

You washed it? [emoji15]. That's a task in itself.

I swear sometimes I'm my own worst enemy. Started out to slap together a real quick light bar for Big Blue for a set of 4 8" led bars I had . Was just going to do a simple bar across to mount to the tracks. Easy, right? Well, I just simply was not up to the task. One thing led to another and I ended up with something very different from what I started out on.

The lights are all flood, and their patterns overlap plenty. I wanted to angle them out to spread the light out nice and wide, but it just didn't look right. So, since there were 4 lights, I made the bar into a 4 faceted angled bar that follows the curve of the front edge of the roof.

So here is what my simple quick bar turned into. The more I look at it the more I like it.

I know it looks like the lights are too small, or there should be one more, but there's enough room to upgrade to 10" bars, and probably even 12" bars in the future. I'm just using what I have on hand at the moment.
Cool! But where'd the full rack go???

Put gas in the pig yet again today. Seems to be a reoccurring event. Smh

I feel like I've been filling up the 3 more than I was the 2. I fill up the alpha every 3 or 4 days, the deuce wouldn't be filled for at least a week.............wierd

I was only getting around 200 miles range in my H3 for quite a while until I got in an accident and had the tank replaced. I guess the shield bent up enough to reduce my capacity. :)

Just to be clear, I only went down the right side as you look at it from the top. Went down that side twice and up both sides once. I'll put some pics up in a bit. My son moved them all to his tablet to make room on my phone because he filled it with pics and video. Coming up the left side had an, uh, interesting moment, shall we say? But we made it and learned! And to top it off, it just so happened I had Curtis, Dan Mick's brother in law, of Dan Mick's Jeep tours and all around Jeeping legend, sitting at the top with a tour group watching me come up. No pressure!

One of us will start a thread for the trip when we get home early next week, but here are a few good bits. This is just starting down Hell's Gate.
