Again, as someone who is also a mod... I find the nastiness, from the mods, about someone being nasty...
Rather odd.
Not trying to attack ANYONE here, just saying that examples are made by those in leadership... and being pissy & offensive, while telling people not to be pissy & offensive seems like a strange way to go about things.
I don't know Mike from adam, but the reality of what a torsion setup does makes his comments about how adding a key compared to clocking the torsion spring somehow makes things safer or the ride better, is a comment I'd disagree with as well, just perhaps more politely.
Mike's comment about how the torsion key doesn't change preload but the clocking of it does, (I know this is going to sound "gruff") simply shows someone who perhaps hasn't given it much thought, or doesn't have a full comprehension of how springs work in relation to the position of the arms. Preload does NOT change with a different position. Now IF you clocked them or added a key, and THEN put them to the bumpstops they will have more preload than the stock setup.
Just some noob that doesn't know much about nuthin... but does have the ability to do some critical thinking & has spent a S***ton of time dealing with suspension on different vehicles.
