Heres an update, I have logged just over 3k miles on the SAS. So far my favorite coil spring setup are the ZJ springs from Iron rock offroad. I had JK springs, bronco springs and ZJ springs and the ZJ springs seem to be a happy medium from the bronco and JK springs.
Now that I have logged a ton of road miles on it I gotta start wheeling so this morning I started my front bumpstop setup. I really really wanted air bumps. Typical air bumps would not be ideal for this setup. Light racing jounce shocks would be much better due to fitment alone. The cylinder type air bump would make things even harder to package and things are already tight under there. These I could mount just under the frame rail and use the stock leaf spring perches from the axle as bumpstop pads.
These are what I wanted...

The 1.5in travel air bump I personally think would be an ideal setup for the 3-4in of uptravel I have but I think its smarter to save the 400 bucks and keep it aside in case I break something on my first trip out. I will consider adding them later on down the road.
I then considered my OEM front bumpstops but they were very small. I started to research cheap mans air bumps on pirate and saw that guys would go to the junkyard and cut off the bumpstop cup and take the bumpstop off of GMC envoys oldmobiles Bravadas and a lot of GM SUVs which in fact looked very similar to the H3 rear bump stops! To boot 4speedfunk is running H3 rear bumpstops on his SAS h3 so I cut those off. In the rear I can add some cheap poly bumps for now. I want the front to be pretty nice with bumps and I think the h3 rears will be much better then the typical poly ones up front. Also, bumpstopping the front is MUCH more important to me then the rear when it comes to wheeling. Now granted properly setup bumpstops front and rear are equally important but push comes to shove if I slam down on the front I could hit my oil pan, bent a drag link, tie rod, kill my new shocks, it would be catastrophic. The rear the only thing I can do is negative arch my springs and bottom out the cheap rear shocks. So in an effort to get wheeling the rears going to the front would be the quickest, cheapest and best way to keep me from destroying the front end. Ill order some rears in a few days.
I also installed my ox locker and ordered my cable. I am doing a manual shift. The cable length I decided on was 90in. A straight shot to the mounting point was about 70in I figure giving me 10in of slack for droop and 10in of slack for routing around things should be plenty. Right now I have some duct tape over the empty hole where the cable goes and the hubs unlocked and no driveshaft in to keep that R&P from spinning. So I cant wheel till I get that cable. That should be here by tuesday and my tires should be here tomorrow or tuesday.
I am hoping to wheel on Sunday. My family from New York will be here for my mom's 50th birthday party/halloween party on saturday. I gotta convince my cousins to go wheeling on sunday but I dont think it will be too hard. Last time they enjoyed it.
Here are some pics of what I have been up to recently.
That is all for now! Just gotta clean up the metal for my bumpstop cups trim the the end portions and weld em together. I pulled the coils and compressed it all the way down. The bumpstop cup and 2x4 will make it perfect. Fully bump will be just before things start to hit.
