It's not a California thing. All the 06 manifold cats are the same. They have one sensor pre cat and one in the pipe. 07 manifold cats have the two holes. Almost every aftermarket cat out there is not legal in Cailfornia

Thanks Zach! Now we know...would using a 07 cat pull a code? It's moving the 2nd o2 sensor upwards

You can easily turn the second O2 sensor off with a custom tune. That way you will not throw any codes. No idea what California checks for.

I'm only changing the motor oil. It is way pass do and installing a rear locker. One thing that is in the air is do I get a 4 to 1 transfer case before Moab? Or after? I'm thinking of pulling the roof rack off and trying to squeeze a few more miles out of each tank if gas.

California checks for everything, im surpirsed you dont have to leave your car with them for a week and they go through it will a magnifying glass to make sure your not a "polluter"

I received the locker I ordered from Stephen. Without a garage I have to wait for the weather to warm up enough that I won't freeze. I should finish my air compressor install and dual batteries.

Well, almost done. Exhaust manifold, O2 sensors, crankshaft seal all went in today. Rear springs go out Monday for re-arching and add a leaf. New tires are on.

That's it until something else breaks before Moab. :corn:

Ive been busy here!My brother has been collecting **** for the past 4 months and it finally all got put on.

-Synergy progressive coil springs 4.5in lift front and rear
-Teraflex adjustable track bar
-345/75/16 KM2s (37x13.5x16)
-16x10 4.5in backspaced alum. rims
-4 used 2.5in 12in travel remote resi king shocks
-ruff stuff 1 ton tie rod kit
-6in over stock length crown stainless brakelines
-Notched truss to avoid it hitting the oil pan.


Whats left on the JK?
-Install rubicrawler
-Modify shock mounts
-Change t case fluid
-oil change

Whats with the purple? well he was ordering his brakelines and he wanted something different from everyone else so I jokingly said purple and he actually went with it. So we started painting **** purple. Pics make it look lighter but its a dark purple

Me being a nice brother and probably did damage to my roof rails seeing I carried 5 tires weighing in at 78lbs a tire.

For reference I sit at 79.5in wide (outside tire to outside tire) He was at 74-75. Now hes at 80-81! I told him to ditch the 1.5in spacers he used for his stock rims but he hasnt taken them off yet. He will sit around 78 with them off. 81in will kill his ball joints, thats about 3in backspacing, most JK guys will go 3.25-3.5 and no lower then that.

I got his old tires that were in better shape then mine. I got his old bilsteins for the rear which were the exact same length as my ranchos. Now I have bilsteins front and back. Rides way nicer.

I dont have pics of the tie rod or adjustable track bar. I recommend the Ruffstuff tie rod kit to anyone here who runs a JK. Its way cheaper then buying an aftermarket tie rod! You get 60 inches of DOM .25 wall tubing (cut it down to 54) then weld in the threaded bungs and install the tie rod ends and for 150 bucks you have a beefy as hell tie rod and cheap compared to the already finished ones going for double that.
