Check thorparts!
Don't much care for them and if I did, there is none available.
Check thorparts!
I just sprayed the gelcoat on the hood pod. I'm currently working on making a deal to make it so I can offer these with an LED bar already installed and ready to go, to where [any of] you [interested] would not have to make any modifications at all to run it.
This is is a terrible picture of the gelcoat, but other than the hole not being already cut in the front, this would basically be what the finished product would look like. This is a white gelcoat, which is a hard, waterproof, non-porous material (the same material that fiberglass boat hulls are coated with) It would also be offered in gloss black, and flat black. If you want it to custom-paint match the rest of your truck, you can scuff and paint the gelcoat whatever color you like. If there is enough interest I could also do carbon fiber. I would imagine that the cost would push most of you interested in just going with fiberglass.

That's what I'm talking about. I built a whole front end clip for the 2nd generation s-10 pickup. I used my '05 colorado as the mold and just made it fit an s-10. I wish I still had access to the shop but even if I did, they went corporate and got bought out by northrop grumman so I'm sure it's not like it used to be anyways. here is a pic!I think a prerunner-esque hood/fenders/grille (like maybe what the Dakar/trophy truck H3's look like?) that opened up forwards like the H1/H2 would be pure sex.

Been a few weeks since I have checked in on the forum, my main income is being a superintendent of a paving company and we have been slammed with every spare moment with fabricating (and maybe a little wheeling![]()
I am a forum vendor now, the hood pod will be available within the week!

Awesome news man I'm glad to hear it worked out.. Put me on the list for the hood pod.... I got my bar waiting on it
I would love some fenders front and rear. I was looking at the Smitybilt armor fender and thought that would look awesome on the h3.What do you feel the aftermarket is lacking most on the H3? Fabrication wise.
Bumpers?
sliders?
tube fenders?
undercarriage protection? (UCP)
aftermarket suspension? (Coil over kits, chromoly (and serviceable) A-arms?)
roof racks?
other?
let me know what you would be wanting, and a price range of what you would be willing to pay.
I agree we need front and rear bumpers. For the front i like the concept of the Thor bumper and the fact that it doesnt extend all the way out to the fenders but rather have the winch covered instead of keeping it out in the open. As for the rear i would like to see a shorther bumper that didnt extend from fender to fender. There's a few bumpers... Some have came and gone (BA I think)... But there's still a few. They're just so damn expensive.
Sliders... There's a few. Although the oem ones are getting harder to find and the aftermarket options are expensive. A jeep can go have their pick for 2-300 bucks where we're paying 5-600....
Someone was working on upper control arms but haven't heard much on that...
I haven't had issues with my drivetrain so for me, my diffs are ok.
I think for me, I'd like to see a few more bumper choices. I just hooked my rear bumper on an obstacle and mangled a corner. Now would be a perfect time to upgrade to aftermarket but the $500 price tag has me not pulling the trigger. I also want a front bumper w/ winch mount but for the price of that combo, I can do a 4:1 t case or a rear locker or maybe both.
I think it's really tough cause everyones in different places in the mod process with their trucks. Some want axles and gears cause they've maxed out their stock stuff. Others are just starting out and just want to find some ucp or sliders. It's hard to narrow it down.
Damn, i was getting ready to pull the trigger to get me the Rancho kit this week but now im contemplating on whether i should wait ...And the ifs would basically have 2 levels. Level 1; stock width, uses factory (or Rancho) knuckles, factory halfshafts, all that jazz. It would basically be an upper and lower A-arm, with provisions for coilovers. Maintaining stock geometry. Basically the upgrades here would be stronger, and serviceable A-arms, and ditching the torsion bars/standard shock system for coilovers.
Level 2 would be balls out. New everything. New geometry, longer travel. New shafts.
Of course everything would be rigorously tested and approved before any sales.
Something like a level 2 IFS system would be down the road, making sure that you guys liked what I'm putting out first. Or it would be something that is big $$$ because it wouldn't be for everyone and would be low production numbers (<5?)
