When I just called Motel 6 even the desk clerk laughed when she quoted the rate! I said this must be a mistake. She said, call back in January, maybe they haven't decided the new rates? Well, that doesn't do us any good now does it? LOL

Anyway, I have a friend in their legal dept. will do my best to get some straight answers ASAP!

I'm told one of the Southwest cabins has a fenced in yard, so that's what I' reserved (to accommodate Daisy)

MOTEL 6 UPDATE

They put the rate of $299 because they haven't announced their 2012 rates.

They will post new rates in January.

If you want to book now, you can, and the rate will drop down, but they will not say what the new rate will be!

If you get a group of a minimum of 10 ROOMS, you can get some sort of discount. Again, no exact figures till January.

Sorry I wasn't able to get more concrete information for you!

This website has accomodations by categories and saves lots of time! http://www.moab-utah.com/
Also use Tripadvisor or post on here for more info about accomodations, I'm sure someone has been there and can give you a review!

Thanks for the info Candi. When I spoke with the lady at Morris' Last Resort, she said she had been wanting to raise her rates but hadn't done so yet. -Just a heads-up for those who are considering staying there.

Since the Outpost is filling up quick we made reservations for that week at the local KOA:

We're bringing our Expo trailer so we'll have most all the comforts of home. The site I reserved has water, electric hookups, a charcoal grill and picnic table. There's also showers, a laundrymat and flush toilets. Not bad for $42.20 a night considering the roach motels want $299.

They are raising their rates in 2012 and put that in the interim till they know what the new rates will be. Crazy, but that is what I was told. I said you are going to lose a lot of business! No response when I said that! lol

I am working out the details now. when I am a 100% yes I will be camping or doing a condo deal Tim is working out right now.

Made my Reservations at the Cabin rentals, nice looking place for about the same as a hotel.

Cant wait for April!!

GenesseMtn is a good friend of mine on the other forum, and he talked me into it, + it sounds like lots of fun! If I like the THCI event I might go the next year, or if BSHS sticks it into me so well that I cant go without going in october, then i am most likely to come! :thumbs:
