That *is* tight.....

Edit: I'm *Still* up for trying. I say let's get a small group together and go out to scout this trail. If we find that an obstacle is too tight or whatever then we just turn around

Hello all. I was in all of the Video's posted and drive the Red Jeep in the first one. Been doing Isham for over 10 years now. If anyone here would like to try let me know when you plan on it and I can also join in. I will bring my Jeep and lead the way up and pick out the best lines. I am pretty sure I can spot up the V-Notch at the end without any damage. There is a correct way to do it and a wrong way which is how 90% of the people in those other videos are doing it. For some reason everyone thinks they need to climb the passenger side wall and that is totally incorrect. Give me a PM or post up here if anyone wants to go. I am about an hour away... :)

That's really good to know, thanks for the offer. I always thought that it's pretty limited what could go wrong when wheeling with careful (and experienced) spotting.

You guys should just put a group together and we can go run the trail. Maybe stay at Panamint Springs for the weekend and we could also run Barker Ranch and Mengel Pass for those that don't want to hammer their rigs on Isham. Just be prepared for dents on Isham. Even with perfect spotting the narrow squeezes down lower are going to be real interesting in an H" anything. I smack my Jeep every time somewhere at least once.

Can you pass through from slate range over into the Panamint Valley? By passing the long drive To Ballerat and having to backtrack to Goler? I'm thinking whoever wants to run Isham can, then we hop over to Goler and Mengel pass the same day...

Yes you can do that but Isham may take many hours depending on how many want to do it. If we just cruise right up it then that would work great. If not then that would be a LONG day. We would get to Mengel in the dark.

The local 4x4 club is going to big bear memorial weekend. My friend Terry offered me an open seat but really not interested in that rat race much as I'd like to see John Bull. Whatever date we work out I can shoot for, I'm only about 30 miles from Isham. B-Spec thanks we'll get this group going however small and sure appreciate your help !
