Bumper mod

This is my take on the bumper mod, I ended up leaving the piece below the turn signals. While mine is not as clean as I would like it will do for now or until I get some other idea of what to do.

I gotta say, the more I look at that, the more I prefer it as it doesn't leave the turn signal out there alone like a tacked on afterthought. Gives it a bit of support, visually. That might be the happy half way point for me.

Burn do you have a side view. How or did you cap off the cut.

I surprised myself. I actually like it. I'm not ready to cut mine up, but I think it looks good.

Yeah here's the side this is where it is not really the way I want it but until I can come up with something better it will do. Did it mostly with my Dremel, I need to get some extra diamond plate and flush fit everything. Overall I'm glad I did it, rivets can be drilled out and the look really grows on ya when you see it in person.

I wish I could have used the plate I have but it's so thick I didn't have anything that would cut. R-code yours looks good flush, I tried to curve the aluminum so it would wrap inside towards the fog lights. I agree looks much better.

I am seriously thinking about doing this. I hate that gap showing ever since I did the body lift on mine.

No doubt, but you can just rivet it up, if you don't mind those triangle ends or cut'em off which is what I did because I saw R-code's.

Body lift guys, you can hide a little more gap if you get the non-factory grill guard, the ends don't get smaller to go around the t-signals, the lower bar covers the gap all the way across.

Yeah, I though about that. A saw is cheaper! Does someone have pattern for the end cap you fabbed? I really suck with fabrication and would like to have someone make me a set.

He could do it, he just wouldn't want to stop with the ends. He would want to make the whole bumper.

He and I have talked about making a front winch bumper, it just hasn't happened yet.

Well I definitely have interest in this, would love to see it done, I can't imagine the price point would be but so high unless it was the entire bumper. Which has been done.

I have a pattern for my style

1/16" Alum Diamond plate is what I used.

That looks like something I could certainly do. If you have a pattern I could draw it up and cut them on my cnc table. I'll go back and look at this thread more closely and start thinking.
