Towed lots of heavy loads with Powerstroke motors and only had one blow up. Big fan of the Duramax except maintenance on them can be expensive. Tried to get excited about the Cummins in a number of Dodge trucks but just couldn't do it. They get better mileage but always seem to take a long time to get to speed.

The Cummins' have been derated to meet emissions regs without urea injection and as much EGR. In '13 the Cummins will have urea and use more EGR, but it will make a lot more power as a result. Don't know what transmission Dodge will use though, since the 68RFE is already overmatched by the current Cummins. They are supposed to be dropping the manual trans option as well, which has a lot of Dodge guys pissed off.

I hate to resurrect an old thread, but this got me thinking of something that I read on a hummer forum, would it be more feasible (and cost effective) to take a H3 body and marry it up with a diesel pickup chevy/GMC frame and power train. I know that there would have to be frame modification done, and other fabrication to it, but I wonder if it would be a better option.
