    No drive

Sounds like tcase is transferring power to the front driveline. But if the differential pinion is spinning with tires on the ground… sounds like 1 of 3 things that have already been stated: -failed Cv axle -failed intermediate shaft -failed differential The way to verify it’s not the tcase...

    Bleeding front brakes

Gravity bleeding has worked best for me, takes longer but you can walk away for 5-15 minutes to do other stuff.

    Atlas 3.7 I5 teardown - I Do Cars

Really doesn’t look like a terrible rebuild to take on. I’d be more concerned with sourcing all the bearings, camshafts, and other atlas specific part #’s. All in, would Probbaly be more cost effective to swap in a 5.3l. A tale as old as time. Atleast they were able to solve the mystery of...

H3 OBD2 gauge for monitoring temps

X2 on the scanguage II. I currently monitor engine temp, transmission temp, alternator voltage and mpg. With the alphas you can program oil pressure and oil temp as well. Have had it for years, and has saved me a couple times where there was no other indication of a problem besides...

    H3 H3 Alpha vs H3 I5........having had both.......hmm

I’ve been lucky to be able to drive the Bronco both on and off-road. Besides the power, I prefer the H3 off-road.

    H3 H3 Alpha vs H3 I5........having had both.......hmm

It’s one of two GM prototype vehicles that were far enough along to not get crushed. Slated for 2011 or 2012 model year. Which would make sense, since the d2.8L was intentionally a foreign motor. Picture is supposedly from either Europe or South Africa.

If only the H3 had a couple more years of production..

    H3 H3 Alpha vs H3 I5........having had both.......hmm

Let me put it this way. If you have an I5 and want more power, you’re essentially looking into buying an alpha or doing a v8 swap. If you have an alpha, you have a whole summit racing catalog to have fun with. Don’t need anything super fancy, maybe just a cam and valve springs will fix the wow...

    Endeavored H3 Build

Looking back, it was not the season of the 14 bolt. And I, in fact didn’t make sand hallow. Changing that outcome this year, @cgalpha08 ‘s progress is lighting a fire under me to get everything done. Acquired all parts to my half door. 14 bolt project is moving. Might show up to sandhallow 4...

Did the H2 ever have a single speed t case?

H2 only had 2 models of tcases. One for the 4l60 and 6l80. Both full time 4x4 tcases with 4hi, 4 hi lock and 4 lo lock. Only difference between the two is the input being 32 or 27 spline for each respective transmission output shaft.

    Let’s Talk Handheld navigation/Satellite Phones.

I agree with you and Alex, the spot x seems like the better option for budget/quality sake. I would prefer to have 2 different systems, just seems like Murphey’s law would come into play if i relied on 2 different devices at once when I really needed it.

    Let’s Talk Handheld navigation/Satellite Phones.

My iPhone (14 plus) is sometimes accurate, sometimes not. I can guess where I’m at most of the time, but normally it’s off. I’ll Probably aim for one with a bigger screen, I don’t do super long hiking routes that would necessarily require gps. Mainly getting there when cell reception is minimal...

    Oil usage observations

Have some miles since last comment. Drove up and did a lot of fishing up in the white mountains this weekend, including the climb getting to Hannagan meadow. Lots of high rev, 6-8% grades all weekend totaling 550 miles. Only burned fuel. One thing to note is that at 9k feet the truck had no...
