Will dave be understanding that the H3 isnt stock? I have one part in particular...My steering rack has been making some weird noises by the drivers side end, Intermediate shaft? If he sees Hunners rack sleeve will he be ok with that? I know the last hummer dealership didnt like to work on anything but stock vehicles...

It's been my experience that Dave and the other guys at Tustin are very reasonable, but if your setup is highly modified then I can't say I'd blame a dealership for being hesitant

Sounds good, I wouldnt say highly modified as its just a sleeve. The past dealership were freaked out seeing I had 35's on with a t bar crank. The chevy dealership has been good to me though. Other then the steering rack noise and a misfire everything else is just basic maintenance...havent had many problems with the H3 so far. Keeping my fingers crossed it will stay that way!

Tustin understands wheelers. Tell Dave that David and Mikkel sent you and that Mike S is your uncle, he will take care of you. :)

I think Lockhart Basin needs to be tried again on this trip. I'm not going to even try to set a day to do it. I just know that I AM going to run that trail this time. I missed it last time you guys ran it, so hopefully someone will want to run it again. ...counting down the days.

Seems like we passed a Jeep strapping a broken Jeep out of there while I was strapping Neo out. Most of the trail is easy but there is about a mile of it that gets pretty interesting. Only trail I have ever seen Neo take body damage on.

He is supposed to be delivering my spare set to Tustin soon. I would think yours should be ready. I got the step version.

Cool :)

Tires just arrived and are loaded up on the truck so hopefully I'll be able to get it all up to Mike this afternoon

I spoke to my concerned parents...they are ok with me going. I filled out the time off request at work today and school is taken care of already! Getting closer and closer to making this happen

my mom and dad brought something up...has anyone ever been stranded in moab due to t case failure or anything catastrophic? I will be ready to ship in parts if need be, just trying to get all possibilities of this trip taken care of with some plan...

No Worries there 06! One stuck all stuck and we have had some major challenges, but they have been met with amazing teamwork, no life threatening injuries and great stories and pictures to share around the campfire!

We will have a driver's meeting at the start of each day or trail just to remind the veterans and to help inform the newbies!

I'm surprised Green 1 hasn't picked out a place yet.

There are of course worst case scenarios but it generally just depends on how bad the repair is and how soon the parts can be shipped. Even transfer cases can be overnighted for the right price.

Yep. With the over the top service from Tustin nothing is impossible, even getting a transfer case fedexed overnight. I did trailer Matt's H1 to Tustin one trip but most anything can be fixed in front of Neo's house.

Also important how soon one realizes the problem and stops wheeling. Some issues can be caught early if you pay attention to your truck, and you may be able to limp home under your own power.

when Beebs and i broke , her truck was at moab 4x4 and mine was in salt lake , both getting fixed under warranty . Rox was staying here an extra week so we just crashed with her at the gonzo .
if not for that trip and us spending an extra week in town with no wheels , having that "northern exposure" moment with a few deer on main street , we probably would of never moved . going back to L.A. traffic had something to do with it too ...
