I seriously effed up my ankle but since we were about 300 km's from the nearest hospital we didn't want to waste any time packing up and getting out of there

But it ended up being a severe sprain and will take about 16 weeks to heal according to the Dr.[/QUOTE]

Ice, water, an Motrin sir. That's the US infantry way.

After the side airbags popped out while offroad, the dealership quoted me $7,000 for new airbags, and $2800 for completely new seat belts. They won't service the seat belt buckles

You can instal it both ways:

1. Standalone so trans hose will go directly into the cooler and back from it to trans.
Pros:
1. you bypass stock radiator so no worry about radiator coolant mixing with trans oil
2. Less heat load on radiator, slightly cooler engine temps (if any)
3. Trans temps lower because engine temp of the radiator will not heat it up since trans cooler is now seperate

Cons:
1. Trans will take long to heat up and reach operating temp

Since you have a thermal bypass, you shouldnt worry about trans reaching warm temp.

I have my radiator bypassed and my temp reached 60/70.

Ordered some replacement exterior trim to add to the pile in my storage shed. Hoping to get the rock rails in the next couple weeks so I can move forward with tearing everything down to have the whole truck Linex'd.

Most of my trim has warped due to the pressure of the ARB roof rack on the top so I gave up on the idea of coating it. I would have to buy a lot of new trim and start from scratch. Just not worth it.

Any update???
Got my truck today and took it for a drive. 30 miles no problems but then as I was doing a hard left turn the oil light came up. Started experimenting more and basically the Low Oil warning comes up whenever Im doing very hard turns or hard braking.

Ambient temp were nice, low 90s, but I had a/c on all the time to keep the engine running hot and through out the 30 mile drive the truck didnt give any warnings (an improvement compared to before the flush). Still haven't driven it at noon (110+ this week) but the last time I did I was getting the warning everytime my rpm was at idle!
Mechanic told me the next step is to replace the oil pump...

Before you do that...make sure the dipstick tube and dipstick are the correct length (and correctly installed).

Oil pressure dips on braking and turns are classic symptoms of nothing more than low oil level. If the tube is too short, or the stick too long...it could be giving a false reading.

Trim is cheap, other than the A pillars. I have a replacement for every single piece of trim on the exterior so I can have it all linex'ed and have spares for the inevitable texting while driving imbecile, into it a total of 750. If I could figure out how to maneuver it into a storage shed I would buy an extra frame and have it sprayed too, but at that point I would be pretty close to just being able to build a new truck from parts. 15x20 shed holds ALOT of Hummer parts.
Wonder what new old stock sets of clearance and off road light kits will go for in ten years?

The sensor was replaced the oil change b4 the engine flush, basically 2K miles ago. I will replace the sensor again and try to see if I can get an oil pressure reading using my obd2 reader (I can do that on the alpha).

My problem started during summer a year ago. It was once every other week the warning came while driving. During winter I had no issues. Now its summer, the issue was back but this time more recurrent to ignore.

Will see driving during noon does the warning come or not. If not then its an improvement.

Had the starter replaced. The internals on the old one one sounded like it was in pieces

Installed LED bulbs in all the door window switches and got the rear door switches to illuminate (seems only 2007 had the wiring for the lights, those cheap jerks at GM):

Made a how to here for the rear switches:

I also picked up an older ARB (Engel) 43 quart fridge/freezer for $275 in good condition:

It just has some dents in the sides and the temperature display needed a new battery. Other than that it works great, and just in time to use for our daughter's birthday at the park later today to keep the ice cream frozen. I need to figure out a hold down solution for it to use in the mean time until I get my storage drawers built.

Idle has been rough since I got the H3, but has gotten worse lately. It's also doing that thing where the RPMs drop on braking. Decided to clean the throttle body and found this:

I guess whoever cleaned it last didn't get this piece on the throttle body correctly. Instead of messing with old deformed rubber I made a Home Depot run.
