Got my 3 back! Engine finally finished and runs great so far (in the "break in period" right now) also installed my fully functional rugged ridge snorkel

Thats great! The snorkel is nice insurance but keep in mind next time you go in water that your pcm/tcm and bcm aren't water proof.

Honestly, I never plan on going through any kind of water like that again. The snorkel is really just because I feel that the location of the air intake is in a terrible spot, and can even suck in water when the wheels are splashing up water even if it isn't very deep

Glad to hear you got your rig back!

If I can give one piece of advice - I would wrap as much of the winch line around the drum as possible, it exposes the rope to less of its two enemies:
1- road grit (it get between the fibers and over time can make the fail prematurely
2- UV light, the UV light will "dry out" the rope and can make the fail prematurely

Why do you have the male air fitting on the pump? I thought those ARB's had auto shutoff when the reach pressure so you can use a female fitting on the pump like you would any regular air compressor.

Lol because the guy I got my air hose from (old boss) gave it to me for free because hr had put the fitting on backwards the stripped the fitting when he went to fix it.... I will change it out eventually but the auto shut off still works when the air line is plugged in

Got breaklines made at a local aircraft supply shop...not bad for $60 bucks about 32 in in lenght and they were ready in less than 10 min, they should be long enough.
As well drop my front driveshaft to be lenghted 3.5 in and that should be ready tomorrow.

What I WON'T be doing with my H3 today. Not going on the trails. Thanks to all the rain, they are all under water, and I don't think my Hummer can ford 10 feet.

Buy some kiddie floaties from the Walmart, duct tape them all over the side of your truck and you wont have to ford ten foot of water you can just float across! lol!

You don't need floaties. The H3 will naturally float once the water hits the door handles. You'll know it when the tires start to spin underwater....that's the first sign. That's when you know you're totally screwed...the current will wash your baby downstream, and you got about 30 seconds to eject out the sunroof and swim for shore.

BTW...you'll need a snorkel to get the water to the door handles. Without one...the motor will suck in water, and shut-off long before you get that deep.

Installed Bilstein 5100's, rides a ton better now. Replaced coils and air filter. Fixed my driver side front speaker. Turns out trying to avoid splicing into the factory harness by reusing the connectors from the old speakers wasn't worth it (since the connector on that speaker getting corroded was the cause of it not working), so I cut them out and spliced the wires together. Replaced the window switch toggle that broke off on my driver door window switch controls.

I also got the TPS replaced by Les Schwab on the one wheel that had the valve stem threads all buggered up (which made me have to sit there holding the air nozzle on while inflating my tires instead of being able to screw it on), but unfortunately they used a cheap replacement that has a rubber valvestem instead of the metal ones so it doesn't match now, plus the Service TPMS message came on when I got home afterwards. If it doesn't go out by Monday I'm taking it back and making them put the right kind on it.

I also had them look into the popping sounds I've been hearing since I replaced my shocks, turns out the bushing are all going out on the steering rack. Hopefully it hasn't broken already, but I need to crawl under and double check. I have the aluminum end clamp i picked up off someone on here, but I should probably also replace the two bushings by the pinion.

Fixed the trailer hitch harness issue where it rubs against the body, caught it just in time too or the whole harness would have needed to been replaced

Bought thru cool transmission radiator with cold bypass .. as i understand installing this at radiator will exclude original transmission cooler built in engine radiator from at cooling system ? Is it correct ?

Took out the hummer h3 to day and noticed a little slop in the steering. thought it was a tie rod, But No that would be to easy and cheep to fix. Turn out it's the u joint in the intermediate steering shaft. Where the best price to buy the set, upper an lower shafts my's well do them both.

Changed the oil for the first time. It's nice that there's that little tray under the oil filter that funnels the runoff out the front. I wish my wife's 2016 Acadia had something like that.

Changed the front diff oil and cleaned out the front sunroof drains.

It's nice until you fumble the oil filter when taking it off and still end up spilling oil everywhere...

Did that soon after I took this shot! Was temporary because I wanted to clean it up

Went out camping:

This is a poser shot from the first morning - we had driven for hours in the dark only knowing the general area we want to end up, not really sure what we would find. Ended up camping right on the edge of the lake, and in the AM I saw this opportunity and couldn't pass it up:

Then we continued on after some breaky for 175-200 km's of logging roads to the west cost where we had beautiful weather and almost a private beach:

... but that didn't last too long, this is my ankle after about 20 min after the f*ck up:

I seriously effed up my ankle but since we were about 300 km's from the nearest hospital we didn't want to waste any time packing up and getting out of there

But it ended up being a severe sprain and will take about 16 weeks to heal according to the Dr.
