So the local dealer has an 07' H3 Adventure on the lot. It was sold in March but just was returned to the same dealer and traded for a tahoe because it was too small for the guy.

It is listed at $18,900 with 59k miles on it. Never in an accident.

Here is the link:

What do you all think I can get it for?

Price listed is currently less than both KBB and NADA values which have it at 23,800 and 21,600 respectively.

Does have chips on the left rear fender from rocks coming off the offset wheels so that would have to be worked into the negotiations as well as a few other scratches.

Are you sure that's an Adventure? Looking at the 4x4 controls it only looks like there's a Stablitrak button, not a locker button. Also, what are the extra holes/plugs/whatever in the plastic above the rear bumper? There should only be one "thing" there and in the pics there are two. Rear view cameras or something? I notice there's a GPS or other type of monitor on the dash.

Hey man you live down the road from me. We should meet up and go wheeling if you get the chance. I'd say go for it so you can join me and my friend. Thinking about hitting some trails up in the baker area.

Thanks all. I was going to offer them 17k out the door and see what happened but I guess I'll go even lower.

It is an adventure, does have the locker button on the dash. I made sure of that when I looked at it today.

Alrock: The funny things in the bumper are back up sensors that were installed. There is also a back up camera that was installed in the tire cover but a second aftermarket one was added and moved to the license plate bracket.

If you all think I can get that one so low, what do you think about this Alpha? I'd really like to get into an Alpha for the power/slightly more towing capacity since I have a 5x8 trailer I will be hauling every now and then.

I got my alpha, same color, more options for 19,500 down from 29,800. Even had them buy a large pizza, a 2 liter and breadsticks to seal the deal I was there haggling so long. :) Buy the Alpha, you'll regret it if ya don't!

Go in with a game plan, do your homework on the rig and the dealership, know how hungry they are, be ready to walk, bitch, moan, and above all book the time so that you use so much of theirs they want to get rid of you.

Start by getting the rig into their maint. Bay and onto a lift, and take an hour or so clogging that lift up going over it critically, then grudgingly agree to test drive. Make them give you a car fax, Pre test drive so you have more ammo to bitch during the test drive. During all this bitching though, remain courteous with your salesman. He's the one who'll be dragging your offers to his boss. It's the least you can do since you're gonna make him your bitch. :)

Coastie, I don't want to second guess you but be absolutely sure. Obviously that pic isn't clear, and you were in the truck, but there should be two buttons on the right on an 07 Adventure - Stablilitrak and Locker. The pic makes it look like one. For example, that Alpha only has one button and isn't an Adventure.

Alrock: I'm pretty positive it is an adventure. I'll take another look at it when I go back with my wife and I'll specifically look for the stabilitrak and locker buttons again. I could have been mistake when I looked at it because I gave it a quick once over.

ABNTROOP: I'll definitely have to take those pointers. The thing is, I absolutely hate being in the dealership because it annoys the hell out of me so I guess the wife and I will have to strategize. Fortunately shes more of a cheapskate then I am and will play ball harder than I will so if we have a game plan going it I assume we will either walk about with it at our price or not.

I'd much rather get the Alpha but if I can't I'll see what I can get them to do on the blue one.

Start at 17k out the door for the Alpha and go from there.

I'm a wholesale dealer. I bought mine on the Internet with 3 clicks. I would be fairly surprised if they went lower than wholesale. They know they can take it to auction and yield about the number I gave before. So unless they weighted the deal one way or the other or have had the car for 6 weeks plus they won't be that hungry that they'll take less than about $16750.

Funny, we just got a flyer in the mail from Quality Imports and my daughter pointed out this H3 for sale. If you want to shake it down, let me know, I'll meet you, I work on base.
I've got a really good idea where parts break on these 3's. :emb: It's going to need to go on the rack and check all those damn front suspension bushings and the rack--which really doesn't mean much, they can be tight when you buy it then start clanking a week later. Luckily I think between Bigunit and a couple other forum guys there's upgrades for that stuff that wasn't available when I had my 3.

Oh yeah, and if you want to whack out the front frame rails and put a Fab Fours front stinger bumper/winch combo on it, I know that trick as well!

I'd love to drive an H3 Alpha and see how it feels compared to the deuce.

Twinmill I am definitely going to take you up on that offer.

I was thinking about maybe going down on Saturday and looking at it. Probably will make them a really low ball offer and then drive home because the wife will be out of town but if I can go in, get it on the rack with someone who knows what they are looking for that would be absolutely ideal, and then of course go drive it and see how it feels.

I really do appreciate that offer. PM me if you are serious about it and maybe we can work something out.
