Olan,
Here are pics of the '98 silver 4-door hard-top with after-market slant back. It has approx. 73k mi. Seller is asking is $39K OBO. It comes with over $10K worth of spare parts. If you want the VIN, let me know & I will PM it to you. The rig has been serviced here at Royal Automotive & they have all the service records/history there. Very clean inside - nice rig.

Let me know if you want more pics or have any questions or, if you want, I can have the seller contact you and you can talk directly. FYI, I have no financial interest in this transaction & am just doing this as a favor to a friend.

Here are pics of the '03 black soft-top (w/85.5k mi.). Seller is asking $36K OBO. If you want the VIN, let me know & I will PM it to you. The rig was originally purchased at Royal Automotive/HUMMER in '03 and has always been serviced at Royal Automotive - they have all the service records/history there. It will need a new set of tires and interior detailed. Let me know if you want more pics or have any questions or, if you want, I can have the seller contact you and you can talk directly. FYI, I have no financial interest in this transaction & am just doing this as a favor to a friend.

Everyone, there must have been some miscomunication between someone here. Ok, so I got a call today from the guy. He told me that he would email me everything he had known about on the truck sometime soon. But he said he dosent own the 2003, the 98 is his only Hummer. He also said that he would sell it for 42k ( a bit to much? ) without the parts. He also said that he would sell it with the parts for another 9-10k. So that ends up at 51-52k. These numbers seem a little or way overpriced to me. What does everyone else think? So what about the 2003? Im wondering who to get in contact with and see if his price is for real to. Guess it was to good to be true?

Opinions please!

Olan, the '03 & the '98 are not owned by the same person (sorry if that wasn't clear) the owner of the '98 left me a voice message last night but I haven't called him back. Will do so tonight. I will also call my friend Dave (he's the one that gave me the asking prices & other information on each of the 2 wehicles) and let him know what's going on so that he can look into what the deal is. I'll let you know what I find out.

Hard to say on the 98. My 98 OT has 80K on it. It is in great shape, has a replacement motor with 10K on it. ( heavy block ) Has the two piece Hutchinson wheels with new KM2s on it. I wouldn't sell it for less than 38-39K. Not sure that this truck has had the block replaced. It is an HMC4, which I like better, has the HD RPP and the slantback kit. The new motor is a 10-12K value. A 98 that has not had the block replaced will be discounted in value to some degree because of that. Truck looks nice. I can see 38-39K for it. I don't see 42K. It has one piece wheels, crappy OZ tires and maybe an original block. If you can get it for 38K I think it is a fair deal. He isn't gouging you and you aren't hitting a home run. At that price you aren't going to make any money on it, at least for a long time but doubt you would get hurt on it either. Personally, as much as I like the HMC4 body style and the 98 model year I would cap my offer at 38-39K. If he will sell at that cool. If not I would keep looking. If you like it enough and that is the truck for you offer what it takes to buy it.

I talked to him about his BO and he said that he said that he is basically at the bottom of the line KBB rating. Im not looking to make money on a truck unless its a good deal, but otherwise im looking for a first H1.. I guess I will keep looking then...

If you are absolutely in love with that truck and the look don't let a couple of thousand dollars keep you away from your dream. If it doesn't make you think about it all the time then I wouldn't over pay for it.

Yeah, I think I will pass. I would like it not to be in to rough of shape like that. ie, has a dent in passenger rear door, dosent come with rear seat unless you want to pay extra $$ I think. He converted it to sleep in the back. I would like to wait for a 98 Open Top to wheel in and DD, as I am pretty sure I would like to try to keep it stock, or an 01-03 Wagon / open top.
