Stack some washers behind the rim to push it out some. Sometimes it's all dependent on how the lugs are. Last set my spare wouldn't fit well. They fit but not as well. Next set (same tires too) fit fine.

I did some mods to my spare tire bracket to fit my -12 offset wheels and 37"s....

Umm that might be a bit more ambitious than what I'm thinking. My approach is more like :dh:until it gives way.

My spare tire is NOT fitting without a hard shove. It could be the size of the Hankook is a wee bit bigger and large lugs, or it could be my bumper is shoved up from my careful forming over large rocks, or both. It took several tries to get the door to close.

Mods are being contemplated, from a sledgehammer to the rear bumper to drilling/reworking the spare tire mount.

Might have to hire Bigunits crew to get it on. Heard its cheap labor

Bent bumper. I took my stock one off and hammered it back into shape several times. Eventually it became too mangled to use. They are so thin that you can easily manipulate them with a hammer and a vice.

Alrock, bring your rig down to Tucson and my crew and I will straighten that bumper for you. These are our favorite types of projects and we have perfected our techniques. We will have you in, out and back on the road with your spare on the back within no more than 3 minutes - garadamnteed!

When Alrock comes to town, the drinks consist of shots of really smooth tequila. So, if you count the one downed right before we start, 3 drinks in 3 minutes just might be doable!

My vote is for a bent bumper as well. When I ran Nitto Terra Grapplers on my H3, I didn't have problems with the spare tire fitting, except for a tiny bit of rubbing on the bumper. I ran 325's which were true 35's.

CJ, wish I could but I've spent all my $ on this week's projects of tires, exhaust manifold, motor mount, crankshaft seal, rear leaf springs and a few other bits. Really like your bumpers.

But, we got a fix in place today the old fashioned way - sledgehammer.

Before. Not a great picture, but you can see how the center is arched higher than the outsides. This photo is taken from under the truck looking backwards through the bumper.

Went overkill and arched that section the other way. The plastic remains flat when over it but can deflect a bit downward if necessary.
