Mods, trips, upgrades, etc.

Mine's been upgraded from being a daily driver to a play vehicle only. 129,000 on the odometer, time to let it rest a bit. Plus a new radiator has to go in soon.

Last mod, I think, was the Preferred Chassis Fabrication steering bracket. It's holding strong after several off road trips, abuse in Moab and a lot of pavement miles. Steering is still solid, straight and true.

Mine has gone back into trail duty - I was planning to retire it as I was afraid to beat it up, but then I realized that I already had an awesome trail rig.

Installed 38" Michelin XML tires on it and wheeled the piss out of it on the weekend. Dented my drivers side doors, skid plates, and passenger side rock rail, but I had a blast. The XMLs are an amazing tire and they fit on the H2 without any modifications (just cranked up the torsion bars).

PCF steering rack bracket and PCF crossmember with bushing. Love the results, and wasn't too difficult to install. Kudos to Dwaine!

Pending mod: transmission cooling.

I've recently redone my brakes (at 50K mi) and replaced the power steering pump. Steering bracket is getting installed next week.

A week from this Saturday we're driving the rest of the San Andreas Fault. Last weekend I did Clark's grade up to Clark's peak with friends.

So far this year I've hauled 15 H3T loads of brush to the chipper shredder.

Not too much this year. I upgraded my roof lights from cheesy Pep Boy's driving lights to KC 5x7s. Also swapped out the AR5 stock shifter with a short throw Hurst. Almost forgot the PCF steering bracket! Can't wait for the Bishop run next week to test it all out!

This year I have upgraded the crappy headlights and taillights on my H1 to LEDs as well as added HummerDan Rocker Panel Protection. that's accessory wise, Maintenance wise I have new Hankook MT tires, all new radiator hoses, thermostat, oil change, empty trans pan and refill new fluid, changed fluid in T-Case, new air filter and few other things I'm forgetting.

well, since my outing in last chance canyon I've added the following... oem rock rails, gobi rack, purple cranium cause It was soo cheap, cb is installed. Today I go and pick up some 35" tires and do the torsion bar lift. I got a baby due on sept 4th and I will be off of work for a month on that "bonding" so I probably wont be able to mod further until the end of the year. I was looking at www.ledwarehouse.com for a 40" bar since I work in the same city they are located in. eventuall I will get a winch and do something with the rear shock mounts hanging so low.

Just got the H1 bad from being bed lined inside and out. I've been putting new led lights and all stainless hardware in slowly but surely. I also replaced the plywood floor with 3/4" rubber mat.

We've been going stand up paddle boarding and kayaking this summer. I use the paddle board and Carrie uses the kayak. We usually go to Oceanside Harbor or Mission Bay in SD. We started feeling bad leaving Bandit ( our Aussie) at home so we got him a boat which Carrie tows behind the kayak. I have to admit its pretty F'n cute with him in the boat :)

Loading the board and kayak on top of the Hummer is always fun but its worth it.

Got the back all packed with gear to go on the Bishop run this weekend! I am getting so anxious to go wheeling. I get to run Wheeler Crest three times, one time at night. Gonna be fun!

I installed a Preferred Chassis Fabrication's Scorpworks steering rack mount bracket, thanks Dwaine! It was a pleasure installing such a well engineered and fabricated product. I love NC machined aluminum!

I got the T all checked and ready to start our San Andreas Fault trip starting this weekend. We'll be starting at the Carrizo Plain http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrizo_Plain and working our way North. If there is a major earthquake on the SAF we'll be the first to know!

If you get swallowed by the fault, and Superman doesn't save you, then I call dibs on your truck!

Okay Alex, I've updated my will so that you get my T if none of us make it back. I figure if my wife, step son and I go together, my daughter would get both houses, 5 cars and all the life insurance. What is one less vehicle to her! Made me so mad I called her up in the middle of the night and told her off! :mock:

Just remember, if we get sucked into the fault, we'll probably be in the truck so if you don't find us within the first few days you probably won't want it. :emb:

I'll bet when you find us, all the lockers will be engaged and the gas tank will be empty! :holymoly

Beat the living daylights out of it with a sledge hammer, and anything else I thought might work. Seriously. I have a corroded hub I've been trying to get out of the knuckle.
