I went rock crawling today! I bottomed out pretty good and thought,
"Well at least I........... forgot to put the skid plates on" :whaa:
Haha, I only hit the crossmember so no harm done. Made it back home and had a good day :)

Throttle body cleaning. Car would stutter after turning on (this issue would come and go). Then it started to turn off in bumper to bumper traffic or when braked hard. Dealer said throttle body calibration and around $300. Found a great writeup on here... http://www.hummer4x4offroad.com/for...d-MAF-sensor-cleaning&highlight=throttle+body
Took around an hour or so but wasnt rushing etc. IMG_6085.jpgIMG_6089.jpgIMG_6097.jpgIMG_6096.jpg

Saw your doorless H3 and a group of hummers out on the island while I was out with my family. What a small world.

I didn't get nearly as muddy as you, but I did lose my front license plate somewhere out there... need to figure out a better spot to put it or not forget to take it off lol.

Nice job . Trust me , as dirty as that was you'll see a big improvement . You just saved $290.00 to spend on something useful . Mine normally starts reminding me to clean it by the RPM's bouncing around idle .

I think the marker lights came out really nice! How did you install them and what type of mesh did you install in the grill openings?

look's good, I've thought about doing the same thing are they the round led that push in to a rubber grommet.
These are called "Angel eye leds" when you search for them on eBay... I had to tint the lens so that the were hidden when the lights we off but not as bright when they were on lol

They are attached to the grill mesh, and the grill mesh I made using a sheet of "ABS honeycomb sheet" that I bought in bulk off of eBay.

Both the mesh and the lights were from a different project that didn't end up moving forward so they were addapeted to the hummer

Just a little update on my LS swapped H3:

Done 5K miles on it after the swap, 3K after the trans rebuild. Truck is back in the trans shop for a completely worn band. (The same reason for the first rebuild)
The reverse input drum was scarred too. It took 3K for the band to give all its friction material!
I guess letting the truck shift to 2nd gear before giving it more than 50% throttle is too much!

So now im going to rebuild the trans again but this time ill get upgraded parts over from the states and wait...

Did you ever figure out the cooling issues? I think it was you that had posted a while back about it, just curious.

My current setup is a 14" Spal Brushless fan being a pusher (stock corvette c7 fan), and two spal extreme performance puller fans (12").
Total amp draw between the 3 fans is 100-110 amps!!!
Re Wired the dual fans to run low/high speed using the pcm.
The brushless fan runs using a special sensor placed in the engine head and it starts at 25% speed at 195* and ramps up the fan speed as the temp goes up to 220*.
Didnt have enough time to test them, but so far without a/c truck will idle at 200* at 105* ambient using only the pusher fan (at approx 30% power). If I trigger the fan switch to high speed the temp will drop below that but I dont know how much.

This fan comes in a 17" setup which will be perfect for anyone wanted to do an efan conversion and use it as a puller. To fit my 14" infront of the condensor I had to trim some of the body and modify the rad support bracket.

My main issue was a/c. With the twin pullers I can idle at 185* all day but the second I switch the a/c I would watch temps creep up slowly up to 235* and thats when I start to panick and turn if off....

Great for offroad but it handles like a pig on the highway. Left the rear link off and can't tell the difference, when the front is off, horrible control.
