H3 Traction control button now working.

I have a 06 hummer h3 and today I took it through its first mud hole. Well as I was going it felt like it lost all power and the traction control kept kicking in. Well when I got out I had to press the button really hard like it was stuck and nothing happen. So after many presses of the button it finally went off. Do y'all think bc my tc was on that's why I lost power or something else. And is there a way to fix the sticking button?

Yea when doing any kind of mudding make sure to turn off traction control, it will sense the wheels spinning and kill power, as far as the button sticking do a search on the forum there's a thread on how to take them apart and clean them up and grease them so they are smooth as butter!

Having not driven in too much snow since before the advent of traction control, I didn't realize the benefit/necessity of turning it off. I can see that same benefit for mud.

True. Thick mud will turn your tires into giant treadless bagels. Turning off TCS will get you the wheelspin needed to fling the goo off your tires. But remember, the front diff really hates wheelspin (or more accurately, sudden grabbing during wheelspin). So don't get cray-cray with the override button.
