I thought even though lots of time has gone by I would throw in my 2 cents on my 2007 Hummer H3 tires experience. The first pair BF Goodrich All terrains absolutely sucked off road (285/75/16). I off road at the Cliffs Insane Terrain which is a lot of mud and forest. Every time I would get to a good 10" deep mud it was game over. Get out the winch because only God was going to move that truck with those tires. I ordered Interco Super Swamper Irok ND 285/75/16 to replace them. Lets get the obvious out of the way; they are loud on the highway, required lots of work to balance and handled poor over 55 mph. In the rain I could actually break them loose in a turn.... - that is saying alot for only having a 3.7L . Also on the down side they only lasted 15k miles. The first 5k miles they wore 50%. Now for the good part: If you are actually off road in real mud ie. 24" and over they WILL still move my truck even with full load etc. I have gone through rain storms out at the Cliffs where most hurried back to the parking lot I was still going strong. Irok ND's are a true off road tire! Wanting to try something different and go to a larger size I ordered Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC 315/75/16 after doing a 2.5" leveling kit with new shocks, leaf springs, hydraulic bump stops etc. Now this test is a little bit different because I did new ARB air lockers front and rear but still off roading at the Cliffs. The Mickey Thompson combined with the ARB air lockers are unstoppable period. My only issues is ground clearance. Other than that 37" deep mud coming up almost to the hood my wife and I still went right through without an issue.
