The less I drive it, the more maintenance I do?

Had a good round of work on the H3 today with Reloader's help. (Okay, "Reloader's help" means he does most of the hard stuff). I don't drive the H3 as much anymore but it seems it always needs something. Guess it needs some TLC at 143,000

  • Reprogrammed PCM installed (PCM of NC)
  • Left motor mount
  • Oil pressure switch - oil light was coming on at stoplights, would go away with increased RPMs (I paid $42 at O'Reilly for aftermarket, and it's only $16 on Amazon!!!)
  • Front brake pads
  • Transfer case fluid change - did it early, just to see color after about 2500 miles of use
  • PCV vent hose - this was soft and oil was seeping out and going down back of engine. Thought I had a different leak.
  • Oil change
  • Tire rotation
  • New nutserts in front crossmember for splash shield and skid plates
  • Tightened oddly loose lower control arm bolt

Next up - new upper/lower radiator hoses

When doing the brake jobs, AC Delco puts in that little packet of silicone in with the pads. I always want about 10% more than they supply, so I found the good stuff on Amazon. AC Delco Silicone Brake Lubricant - this is the good stuff for the pads, sliders, etc. and I don't think you'll usually find it in auto parts stores.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Some seems routine but, could your frontend problems be due to your new heavier bumper w/ winch? Havin the support and a place, Reloader's, to help is a real plus and is very good for you and your rig. Good luck.
Also, time to update your sig pic. Your rig has come along way and looks good
