Had about 12 trucks for the weekend. Great time as usual. Thursday and Friday were half day of wheeling. Saturday was a full day.

We had 1 H2 go down on Friday with a leaking Stub Shaft, 1 H1 down with leaking hubs, 1 H3 down with a busted front diff / locker, 1 H3 with broken leaf spring.

Since mine was the one that broke the spring, here are some pics. I will post other pictures later, but we did not take many of the event.

This is the third Spring I know of breaking... all on 2006 trucks that go off-road some what regular.

Trip off trail included a hi-jack, winch, and ratchet straps. I was able to drive it 10 miles off the trail and another 5 or so back to the hotel.

My brother ran up Sunday morning with my pick up and a trailer for the trip home

Wonder why it is only on 06's? Did gm improve the springs at some point?

My springs are starting to show their age. The main leaf by the rear shackle is starting to curve the wrong way.

Not sure if it is just age, but I heard rumor of a possible defect in the springs. I am sticking to the age. 6 years of wheeling takes its tole.
