I remember seeing this on the internet a few years back when I was looking for ideas on what to do to my 3. Any of you recognize it?

I didn't get a price, but it's an 06 with 34k miles. I was shocked when seeing the interior. It has a suede roof liner along with dash.... Well you can see the rest.

Pretty much what was said above.

I will never understand why people feel the need to do those types of things to a vehicle. I get the show game, but keep it classy at the same time please.

That interior is pimpin!

I'm glad there is a photo of the "widow-maker" (spare tire gate). Can you imagine trying to open the rear of this vehicle on a slope? At the very minimum...it would be a total PITA. At the very worse...a trip to the ER.

SEMA wheeling!...works great until you have to actually use it.

Hahaha! That spare tire gate was a pain to open itself. It must have been sitting for some time. The tires had dry rot. No UCP either and what looks like rock rails are actually drop down step bars for when the doors are open.

Also why would anyone want the spare tire gate opening on the opposite side of the rear door?

Exactly! Or better yet...why would anyone want a spare tire gate at all! I've hung-out with Yota guys, Jeep guys, and a bunch of full-size wheelers, and frankly...I've never seen anything like it. Hummer guys seem obsessed with hanging as much junk as they can, off their vehicles. Okay...I take that back. I have seen it before....

Seriously...I get requests about once a week for spare tire gates, and most of the time these requests include jerry cans, hi-lifts, kitchen sinks, etc...(as if the H3 isn't already over-weight enough!). This issue is so out-of-control that I quit making spare tire gates of any kind. If I had to design a gate that is strong enough to hold all the crap Hummer guys want...and make it safe enough to use...it would cost $2000 and weigh 250 lbs (not including the spare). Clearly the T has a ground clearance issue with the spare, and it needs to be removed or relocated. But I fail to see any reason to put a tire gate on the SUV. That door can handle a 200 lb. spare, no problem.

Looks like mounting gate to open opposite side was done so cargo door can open. And my tire h2 tire carrier supports 2 38x15.5 spares and 6 Gerry cans with no problems.
