I use a Hobart 210-MVP. The MVP stands for multi-voltage-plug, and it works on 115v or 230v. Its small enough to be portable and you don't have to re-wire it to switch voltages...its all in the plug. I use 220V with a gas kit and .030" solid core wire. It does a great job and cost under a grand. Do yourself a favor...add a 230v outlet to your shop and get a gas kit, regardless of the welder. Flux core is good for absolutely nothing except making a freakin mess out of your project.

I installed a 220v outlet for my stick welder, I've never tried mig, but I absolutely love stick welding. It's always a struggle deciding between truck parts and tools.

Couldn't agree more, currently my mig is setup for FluxCore, and it sucks big time! Tones of cleanup work and doesn't even make pretty welds to make up for the mess. My unit is switchable between gas and gas-less so the first thing I do once I settle into my new place is to switch it over.

Finally done! Just waiting on some mounts from scarsman, turned out really well. Great first project for fabrication, learned alot, and it was alot of work. I think eventually I'll add some more supports between the cross bars, but I can stand on it no problem.

i'll start on the rocksliders as soon as money comes in! It will be nice to go back to stick welding, but I improved alot on my flux core welding.

Brackets should be there soon! I just checked tracking and they are in Morrison today.

I hate to say it, but you're going to have to grind off some of that paint to weld the mount tabs to the bottom it it!
