Roof question

So my H3 has the OEM lights on the roof. They mount like the roof marker lights as well my question is how are they installed? If I wanted to remove them can I take them off and go back to how it was when it rolled off the line?

Well, yes. They are removable.. But they are held down with six riv nuts. Point being, once you back the retaining bolts out (assuming your riv nutt dont break free and start spinning freely) and you take off the lights, you're still stuck with those six riv nuts stuck in your roof. Aka holes/ leaks. Sorry dude. Worst case, see if you can get your hands on the running lights as they mount the same.

He could just use some silicone to seal them won't be that big of a problem.

They're removable but secured by nuts and bolts. Leave it alone bro.

Is something wrong with them or are they just not to your liking appearance-wise?

If they are not broke, leave them alone.

What lies beneath is not a pretty sight.

To get it back to a factory appearance, you would have to have some serious (IMHO) body work done.

Filling the holes, leveling it all out, painting it....Could be expensive.

I agree with Gunner, is it you don't like them? Or don't like the color maybe? Because ebay has clear ones and also smoked dark ones as well I believe.

I like them how they are now but I want a roof rack and IMO the lights like that look tacky with a gobi ranger right behind them with 4 more lights

To fill, sand, and touch up paint should cost you more than $200. Or fill and sand yourself then spray on some faded black bedliner to match the rest of the trim.

Who would I get to do this the dealership? Or a off road shop? What's under the lights a yellow strip or black

Any body shop can do it. The metal is painted the same color as the rest of the truck.
