Hey guys, this might be a dumb question, but I was wondering if it was possible to have nerf step bars as well as rock sliders on at the same time? I have been looking into it and can't find much about it.

No one seems to know how to hop into a lifted vehicle and they're smashing the sides of my seats! haha

Thanks!

You can get removable steps for your OEM rocker panel protectors

I feel like a cheapskate haha Those things are super expensive, I never really thought about how much they would cost. I think a grille guard and a tire are more important right now. Unless someone is selling some? Or selling a grille guard?

Patients is key when building on a budget. Hold onto your money until a good deal comes along and keep an open mind.

OTOH, if you're a perfectionist and you won't be happy until it is perfect (I'm not naming any names) then you might as well get what you really want instead of settling for what’s affordable. You can waste money buying cheep stuff and replacing it with better down the road. I don’t esent the money I spent on my truck, only the money I wasted.

Go to Bed, Bath and Beyond and buy a small folding step stool for $15.00, it's made of a hard plastic, holds up to 300 lbs and folds flat for the backseat floorboard. After installing rock rails, my wife uses one to get it my 3 after the 4" lift and 35's.

The closest thing that I can think of that lets you have your cake and eat it too would be the nFab step bars. I have them and they've worked great for me although I haven't done any serious rock bashing; they have held up taking on a couple logs and stumps though. On my old jacked-up Dodge Ram I tried the folding stool method for my wife and that crap got real old real freaking fast. If you do go that route I would recommend tying a rope or lanyard that attaches somewhere inside the truck that your passengers can use to pull it into the truck with. I used a carabiner clipped to the door lock latch loop.
