Hello all, got real truble with my front end. After my last offroad trip, noticed that the front left CV Axle shaft was leaking grase.... so changed it with the one i have spare from TrakMotive...drove a bit and wow, horrible vibrations when i turn , not when i drive straight ! So , thought the right side CV was too old and, changed it too with the same CV Axle, my last spare one...Drove and the same vibrations, clunk appeared , only in turning moments , like something slips or so.
Checked the front bearings for play, drive shafts .....nothing wrong...It didn't vibrate bevor i changed the first CV axle shaft so.....
Here the CV's i had for spare. HELP guys.Thx.

So just in case , and, I prey , that those CVs are the reason for those vibrations, i already purchased 2 new AC Delco CV Axels with seals from Rockauto right now............ still hope someone can help me or had the same situation, please Hummer gurus and docs🙏🙏🙏

I've had issues with non-AC Delco CVs binding on turns, even when new. You might be able to test by having someone drive slowly back and forth with the wheels turned hard and look for any jumping at the CV joint, binding, non-smooth motion and of course unpleasant sounds.

Thanks ALROCK, as mentionned, the vibrations are only by driving normaly at 30+ mp/h and turning , in curves , not on straight line.
Dump is, that there was no noise bevore, eaven with the old almost greasless CV , that's what i don't undertand. So , my hope is tht the spare CVs I have are too sort . hope the AC delcos will fix it.

My guess is the CV axles, but if you want to take the time and know for sure, pull them and go for another short drive. That will tell you for sure. Personally, I’d be confident enough I’d just put the GM ones in you ordered.

Definitely sounds like the CV is bad. remanufactured CV's have a bad reputation and can fail after the first drive. AC Delco is the best bet for CV's.

In fact 08H3 it was a good idea, and I didn't put them side by side before mounting the aftermarket ones.
But now I see with my old OEM CV, that they are a bit longer each side. Waiting to get both new AC Delcos and I'm sure the problem is solved...

I hate to wait for new spare parts 😤😤😤....For the moment I've disassembled cleaned and painted the old OEM CV axle, filled some grease and ready to put together with new hubs and clamps. Gonna keep them as spare 🤪 just hope to not need them ...

On the road again 😜 thanks guys, the fu...g aftermarket CVs were the truble. New AC Delcos installed on both sides with new seals and no more truble.
the old OME is gonna have a new life after cleaning, painting and full greasing like the other one.
The both CVs in "chrome" are junk.

By the way, can I use boot clams to screw on for the rebuild, like those for radiator hoses or so, or, would you guys say NO, just use one time fix clamps like on the ACDelcos

I’d recommend the cinch clamps like are on the axles. You can get them at Napa as a multi size. They work good.
