I need to replace my hood due to hail damage and I'm seriously thinking about hitting the whole hood with Plasti Dip....

It's called Plasti Dip. You can get it a Home Depot or online. The stuff is really forgiving and super easy to use.

Looks good. I have never used the stuff, do you have to scuf the crome first?
Nope. It's super forgiving and adheres really well to pretty much any surface.

Im very interested in this and depending on the answer to this next question is ill be doing it. I know it peels off, but when it peels off will it look nice underneath or all scuffed up and nasty? Thoughts?

The beauty of this product is that you DO NOT prep. Just clean with water and rub down with alcohol. So when you peel it off it will look exactly how it did before you applied the Plasti-Dip.

Yeah it turned out good.. I was kinda wondering if it was real hard to take them off since you left them on.. My 3 is white, I think I would take them off first and do it..:)

Just remember. Do the first couple coats light, then normal coats after that. The more coats you put on the easier it is to peel off later. And it will probably withstand more abuse the thicker it is.

Also... don't forget you can buy glosifier that you apply after the regular PD is dry. A few coats of that and you have a nice shine. If you're into that kind of thing.
