I'll be working with crawler on some similar Gobi mods at some point, though I'll stick with my current lighting. I'm very curious to seeing more results from more members with these lights.

time to pull out the sawzall BU, then you can put in those lights.

Chris, it might be easier to just buy sinstr's custom gobi with all the lights already nounted to it...hmmm...after all the 09 CE is gobi-less!

sinstr, I have dibs on the rack, ladder & lights!

i have a question, i don't mean to put anybody down or anything, I'm just curious what u guys and gals think...... i was just looking at the pricing of these lights, and arn't these lights kind of expensive for the amount of light that they put out ? the 40" puts out 3200+ lumens for $595. But if u went with rigid or bd, u could get around the same amount of Raw lumens for around half the price and have an awesome quality light... and still have room for more lights, I'm not sure if theres more to this that I'm not seeing though

Just putting that out there

Rigid's 30" light bars are $799 and $999, trailhawks 27" light bar is $375 so I'm not sure where you got your pricing from..

Rigid does seem to put out alot more light though

I looked over on the Rigid site and it appears they are listing raw lumens on the specs.

PTW does not specifiy whether they use raw or effectiev lumens.

Without that knowledge, it would be like comparing apples to oranges.

IMO all the name brand LED lights are overpriced. I just want something that puts out a fair amount of light that will last awhile for a decent price. It doesnt cost $1000 to put 30 led's in an aluminum housing. I don't need marine, arctic, and mil spec lights...all that certification gets past on to the cost of the lights. That being said I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. Unfortunately in the LED off road market it's either expensive over built lights or cheap chinese crap. I'm just waiting for a good ol American made we stand behind our product at a moderate price LED light bar.

End rant.
