Hey PNW'ers, looks like I'm still in for this run, but won't be camping though. I plan to arrive early a.m. Saturday 8/2 at the place/time we designate, but will be leaving that night after a day of fun on the trail. Got Sunday stuff I gotta take care of, you know, like work. :roll:

I will provide my info via PM. Besides the list at the beginning of this thread, has anyone prepared an excel spreadsheet with attendee names, contact info, arrival times, etc.? I'd be glad to prepare that and share with everyone via PM. Just let me know if this works for you.

Question: A Discover Pass is needed for the day, correct? $11.50? I'd rather not pay $35 for an annual one since the year is more than halfway over. :wink:

We're only a week away... I'm excited! Looking forward to meeting everyone! :woot:

Discovery passes are a year from the date of purchase. You get a cheesy yellow backing and a cash-register receipt which will say discovery pass and the date purchased. This is different than the NW Forest pass which is Jan-Dec (Federal forests)

ABN has been nominated as head honcho in charge (we'll all blame him when something screws up... he'll shrug... )

spreadsheet would be awesome, you are nominated to take point on that. Then please PM it to the list of attendees.

Hey all, Hummjay will be sending out pm's in order to compile a contact list with names, board names, cell#'s, emails, and emergency contact info. Please help out and get that info returned. Once a master list is done, everybody can get a copy so you've got multiple points of contact if you break down on the way, get lost, etc. thanks!

After reviewing the first post, I have some questions. When you click on the Google link, it shows this place: https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=46.967954,-123.091335&spn=0.107889,0.264187&t=h&z=13

But the GPS coordinates are for this place: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=47º+...2,-122.909642&sspn=0.006679,0.016512&t=h&z=17

So I am assuming since this second link is for the Tahuya ORV area, and this is the one we are going to. We may want to fix this, so people don't end up at the wrong location.

Hey guys, this is a bit off topic but I figured you lot would be the best to ask due to location.

Two days ago, while airing up after a day in the dunes, my air compressor (cheap MV50) gave out after only the first tire, I was lucky enough to get some help from a few great ATV guys... But now I am without a compressor! Any local 4x4 shops that I could go to to get another, half decent, compressor??

Right now I am in Tillamook, I'll be heading back towards Portland/Vancouver tomorrow any good places to stop in at?

There are many spots for new ones in Hillsboro. Give me a call tomorrow when youre on hwy 26, and stop by. We can have a brew! Ill be off around 430.

Thank you, good catch. I just updated the first post and deleted the first link as for whatever reason google maps keeps bumping that link a ways south to the capital state forest. The GPS coordinates are correctamundo.

if not, no worries, I have on board air and can square you away this weekend.

I have on-board air, so anyone who needs to air-up - I've got you covered. Otherwise, get a cheap compressor from Harbor Freight (Clackamas Town Center), and then buy a good one once you get back home.... I'd suggest the ARB dual compressor - I like my Viair, but they're a touch slower than the ARB compressor... not much, mind you, but they are faster.
