Scratches don't bother me, I just want everything to work like it should. Even little things bother the **** out of me.

I'll comment on the windshield replacement. Out here in the west these jack wagon drivers emulate Nascar and pass within inches of my bumper which never fails to kick up gravel in to my windshield. No matter what you do these drivers out here zig-zag through traffic and they're on you before you knew they were there.

You obviously don't have a sufficiently gnarly, evil looking bumper. Put a big, steel compact car crusher on the front and people give a bit more respect. Drive around with no straight sheet metal and they stay the **** away :p

HWY 93 has a big gravel pit operation, and I used to take that road to and from work everyday in Colorado. It doesnt matter how often they sweep it, I actually get hit by rocks coming from the OTHER DIRECTION. CDOT says its a road hazard and that I am responsible. I broke three windshields there, and two more going to and from the mountains to go skiing. The straight windshield just doesnt glance off rocks as well, and they put their impact energy straight into the glass. Ive got about 5 or 6 stars in my 5th one now, and its ready to be replaced. Driving two and from Phoenix there are a lot of little stones that make very small chips everywhere...
