What the mileage life on those tires? I'm in between those and the toyo open country mt's. hat do you guys think for longest life?

Do you just have the torsion keys turned up or do you have a lift kit on it? I saw a set of nittos I liked the other day and I was not sure how they would work with mine just being leveled.

I can't speak for the OP, but most of us are running 35's with just a torsion bar adjustment. No keys, no lift, just a couple of cranks to get the front to 33.5". Neo is running 35's with no torsion adjustment. There is plenty of room in the rear for 35's too.

I couldn't decide between 35" BGF KM2s or the GY MTRs, now after seeing those pics I may go with the MTRs whenever I have to replace the BFGs.

On the other hand couldn't help noticing the terrain the background, any trails close by...other than RC? :huh:

I've been running 35s since Aug 2K11 with no PCM tune and don't have any complaints whatsoever. Have driven all over VA both on road and off and couldn't be happier. Now this year's mod list includes performance upgrades such as PCM tune, CAI, etc. so I'll have to report back with details...

Just torsion's cranked up a bit.

23.75 in front, 24.5 in rear


IMO, 285 should have been base tire size with 315 as an option. They are a Perfect size for a non-lifted H3.

Having more tire really changes the look of it, 33" At's made it look like a Mall Crawler.

No tune yet, eventually I will get a Handheld.

Spedo is off maybe 5mph-ish.

Power loss, you can tell it lost some snap on the bottom but, it wasn't as bad as I expected.

I'm sure a tune will be nice but, you can live without it.

looks good!! one question though! is it me or do the tires on the passenger side look to be put on the wrong way? if you look at the tread on the drivers side and the tread on the passengers side it looks like there going opposite ways!

What are some major advantages of running a 35 over a 33 or 34? What size are the ones that come on it? The tires will prob be my last mod. They are just so expensive.

I'm running 35's for Ground Clearance.(315)

Mine was an Adventure Model so it came stock with 33's (285)

Lets see.....

Obviously cut on the body line.
Lay down duct tape on both sides of the cut to keep the bumper from getting scratches
I used a skill saw with a fine tooth blade & a fine tooth hack saw blade
cut from the bottom up.
I used a nice metal file to smooth the cut, remove burrs and such. You can go even farther with sandpaper & a heat gun(imma bedline mine eventually)
I used a sawzall after I removed those goofy corners to cut the hard plastic support thats behind it.
used a regular grinder then to smooth out the side/cut off hard plastic support so the diamond plate fits nice.
I used some 1/16 alum diamond plate I had extra from a trailer I fixed for the filler pieces.
Use cardboard to make a template,, take your time!!!
