New H3 owner with vehicle issues

I also just recently purchased a 2006 H3 and we love it but there are some glitches that concern us. After purchasing 3 months ago from private owner the famous check engine light came on about little under a week Wich is always a concern.. Plus sometimes it won't start sounding flooded but not and luckily I looked it up right then before a bunch of men broke it trying to fix it and says that wait ten min exactly before trying again because on the ignition sometimes the computer doesn't respond and goes through a whole reboot before it will start again.. Is this normal and why could my check engine light be on?

Awright, you likely have two issues. 1) Passlock is not working properly and a component of the ignition switch needs to be replaced. Not a difficult fix, just search for Passlock issues on H3s. As for the check engine light, we'd need to know the actual codes. Any shop should be able to provide that to you at no charge.
