Looks like Jerry S. just got his first permission slip to come up to Moab. Probably will be from Sat to Monday or Tuesday. We need to replace his radiator (took a crap today) and steering rack (inner tie rod joints worn out) before the trip, plus get him UCP.

I am stuck in China again but it is early been here about a month so far but hope to be home soon.

Ok, we decided...We will be there. My son, 17 and myself. We will not have lockers, like I've been wantin. To much to do and costly in such a short time. We do have THORparts front bumper w/ winch, leveled w/bumpstops, front shocks, Hunner skids all 4, OEM UCP and 285s. Also, basic tools and tierods. My rig is a 06 Base. Workin on CB and maybe AirDoc.

We did go to Moab over the fourth for 2 days and did Archs, the back country and Hells Revenge not Hells Gate or Tip Over. We still had a blast.
Right now our plan is to be there in the beginnin of the week and wheel for 3-5 days, we are only 6 hours away. I'm not sure where we are stayin yet but, its not a busy time there so that shouldn't be hard to find.

Actually, Oct is a very busy time in Moab. Campgrounds can fill up quick; so if camping take that into consideration. (Mondays can be a good day to find a campsite, though.) Hotels can be very busy.

Moab JEEP Jamboree is after the Hummers leave. Oct is busy due to the weather. It could be one of the best weather months in this area. Usually in the 80s and nice and dry. So no big events per se, just thousands of wacko tourists.

BLM campgrounds are usually full, but no problem if you aren't camping.

Check out where 3Hummers, and the rest stay. Usually best price, and near town.

Should be arriving in Moab mid afternoon on Saturday October 5th. Mikkel and I will convoy out from the OC if anyone wants to join or meet up along the way. Probably leave Friday morning and stay somewhere along the way.

So . . . for a Sunday trail. One idea is Copper Ridge, which starts north of Moab and ends close to I-70 along 191. It's a 35 mile mix of dirt road, scenery, dinosaur tracks and a few modest obstacles. It's probably the same intensity (meaning not intense) as most of our Sunday trips from the past.

Ok, just throwin this out there. Since we're only about a month out. I'm lookin for a pair of black roof rails for my H3, cheap. I was wonderin if anyone that is goin has a pair they no longer need or want. I also wouldn't mind a trade. I do have OEM front bumper and trim also, a pair of really cool chrome nerf bars (steps).
Anyone one willin to trade of sell at a good price. New roofrails are about $95 shipped. I don't have to have them, just puttin it out there.

Count me in!! It'll be my first Oct. run! Hopefully will have those sliders on the truck by then and maybe my new steel rear bumper... not sure depends who pays for it, them or me will determine what is done there haha. But anyway can't wait, sign me up and see you guys by the campfire:cheers:

Getting really jelly of y'all. New job no time off. Really hoping for April. Still short on a year, but left early last year for the job. Think that might help due to my early departure. My gm knew about it all. As you all say, once you make Moab, you always go back. ****ing Neo!!
