I plan on getting a bolt together defender rack and fabricating another segment to make it longer, around halfway up the front doors. I'm having trouble with finding a thread about wiring aux lights from the rack and down the a pillar. Is it possible to run the wires under the plastic molding with the metal railing up top or will I have to cut into the plastic to get the wires to the a pillar?

I was able to slide the wires right under the a pillar trim and the roof trim. With a little muscle it went right under the trim. Watch the clips though. They're pretty fragile.

Haha I gotta start taking pictures of my jobs. My wire is all the way up at the top of the a pillar trim so it would put pressure on the windshield trim. Only difference here

Thanks guys this really helps me out and the fuse box would be a good route because I already have enough cables running off my dual batteries. I'll post up pictures once it's all done!

I would suggest a separate fuse holder connected at the battery, that way it's more easily accessible, and you don't have to try to cram more wires into the fuse panel under the hood, sometimes causing it to not even close properly!
