Being off from school and work on the same day I knew I had to get out on the trail. I contemplated a few options, staying local, doing a H40 run or going to big bear. Without enough experience I didnt want to have my first H4O run without Craig or Zach and I didnt want to lead a trail I havent ran in a while (cleghorn) without a prerun. I also assumed most of you guys were out having BBQs so I will save that run for another time soon. My brother has also been asking to run john bull for quite sometime and today was the day to do so. It was just the two of us. We both made it without a strap and I now know all the lines.

Serge has a video of me getting strapped on this obstacle taking the easy line about a year ago, heres a video of me taking the hardline with ease...

It started to downpour with lightning and thunder once we got to the top and going down the backside with slick rock and even mud starting to form made it all the more fun. I will post up pics soon, all in all it was a great day. Carnage was my brothers diff cover, yet again. He destroyed the stock one then got some G2 covers and destroyed those. We both acquired some more scrapes and my big damage of the day was a burnt out taillight! :whaa: Luckily I had a spare...

We also ran into the guy who was pist about the hold up last time we ran John Bull who posted his complaints on that jeep forum. We saw him at the trailhead and didnt see him again so I am sure he didnt have anything to diss on this time.

My truck isn't back together yet so I couldn't have made it. I would have thought the trails might be busy today.

Sorry, Zach aka mapquest helped me with a few coordinates.

Dave the trail was very slow today. One group of 9 jeeps then my group of 2 and a guy by himself running JB backwards. Quite surprised...

thanks...Ill take partial credit as I helped him build it.

This trail is tough on stock vehicles. Jeep or Hummer. I havent seen a bone stock jeep run this yet but I have seen a craigs H3 and a few other H3s do it. You will get a strap if you are near stock. I did before my 4:1, bald tires and spring over. Since then I have run it without issue

Great pics and post, thanks. It is SOOOO different to what I call off roading out here in NJ. Even though i am set up more for mud, if I make it out there, I am going to give it a try!

That is crazy close how your brother almost wiped out his fender. WHEW. and BTW, two really nice looking rigs!

I need to head into Pennsylvania and get some rock time on MessiaH2.

Thank you, my brother and I have spent hours working on our rigs. I'd love to wheel out east. Both have obstacles and tough trails just different things to overcome.

The offer is there for any one coming out west. I can show you around.
