Installed Detroit Axle 86G_AX & Eccpp hubs.
The hubs I've used before. They are actually fairly decent. I'd highly advise to grease them till they are 20+ pumps. Rotating the hub counter clockwise then back clockwise is beneficialal. I usually do this and have good results. I actually took a old speed sensor and cut the cord off and drilled it out and tapped it. Then installed a grease fitting to accept Lucas green or red.

I've never used these before. I was stumped as they would not engage or insert at all. After further examination and measurements with digital calipers came to the realization that they are indeed the correct length and correct spline count. Diameter was correct as well. Deapth of plunge into differential correct also. It is the circlip that is incorrect. Detroit Axle 86gax is manufactured with the incorrect circlip . After removing the circlip from the original half shaft and installing it on Detroit Axle the unit slid right in. Both sides were the same problem. Once the circlip is swapped engaged pretty quickly.

If you choose this route I'd recommend a good pair of ring pliers or duckbill pliers. The kind you use on transmission and transfer case rings.
