I just dropped out of the bidding on tomps wheels he is trading. Hopefully I can get a set of these in a couple months. They would look great with my Cooper STT's mounted on them driving around Moab next year. :woot:

I considered buying chrome wheels on fleebay, shipping them to Dallas, paying someone to break them down and move Tomp's tires to the chrome wheels and them ship me the Hutchinson’s, but with shipping cost ... it would be cheaper to buy new and you get your choice of color and tires.

This deal just keeps getting more and more tempting. I guess I need to start saving my pennies or sell the set of H3T steelies in my closest. According to the Rock Monster site, Quadratec is the closest dealer to me. I could pick them up and avoid shipping as I go to Hershey, PA a couple times a year.

I called Quadratec and their price was $399.99 with free shipping and since I'm out of state no sales tax. Since California sales tax is close to 10%, this is the best deal I've found yet.

Well even better yet, because I would most likely have to pay tax if I picked them up where I wouldn't if they ship them to NY. Thanks for the info!

I called Quadratec Friday to order 5 Hutchinson WA-0615 wheels and it went smoothly until I got to the color. They said the part number came up as Silver Sparkel, so they had to call Hutchinson to see if they could get matt black. I also checked on the free shipping and they said since the first guy I talked to had promised it, they would do it. The free shipping might be something you have to ask for. Anyway my 5 wheels were $1999.95 total, free shipping and no sales tax.

I also checked on the TPMS installation kit and they called Hutchinson again. The bracket and screw to mount the TPMS sensors is included, but you need to make sure they note that you need it on the order or they might forget to include it.

I asked about spare "O-rings" and they said they can add that but they need to check the price and get a part number assigned in their system.

Just got off the phone with Quadratec. The part number for the Hutchinson "O-ring" is 928035991 and the price is $14.99 each.

The Hutchinson part number of the matt black wheel is WA-0615-017 and the Quadratec part number is 988035921.

I got mine from Quadratec too. Good to know they have tpms fix. Thanks.

If you call or email Hutchinson direct and tell them you need the TPMS installation kit of Hummer TMPS they should be able to hook you up. I have a couple contacts at Hutchinson if you it.

Good to know. I actually have 5x5.5 Hutchinsons made for CJs. The inner part is the same so it shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, I've ordered Cooper STT 315/75R16 from treadepot.com with a 3 year road hazard protection plan. The tires shipped today, so they will be here before the wheels.

Now I running down the miscellaneous items like new valve stems (the TMPS stems get mounted inside so I think I need new), OEM center caps and anything else I forgot.

I was pretty sure you were going with STT based on your posts in my thread.

This is probably your best bet on price for TPMS

I have a spare set of OEM center caps I might be willing to part with. I take it you are going to paint them matte black? I think a set of 06's painted matte black with the exception of the black bar, would give some contrast and look great.

Check and see if you get the valve stems with the wheels. They are unique in that they are a pipe thread into the wheel.

The TPM on one set I got had them mounted.

There is a little more on that in this thread.

hmm....Thats weird I thought they were 18s!

Pay attention grasshopper. :attn:

Some Hutchinson double beadlock wheels may be 18s, but the ones I've been talking about are 16x7.5 with 5.84" backspace.

Just encase anybody is confused, here are the wheel specifications off the drawing I receiver from Hutchinson title “RIM ASSY, 16X7.5 X 38 MM X 2050 LB”, drawing number WA-0615.

Wheel Specifications:
Size (Ø x W): 16 x 7.5
Offset: 38.0 MM (1.50 in)
Tire (designed for): GY LT285/75R16 MT/R LR’D’
Rim profile (standard): TRA 7.5J
Max Tire Pressure (wheel): 4,5 BAR (65 psi)
Rated load (wheel): 930 kg (2050 lbs)
Test Standard: SAE J1992
CTI System: NO

Also on the drawing there is a callout for the backspace dimension (tire interface surface of the inner rim to the mounting flange) of 148.2 [5.84] note: primary dimension are in mm, secondary are in [inch].

Wheel cover, GM P/N 9596675 (Silver W/ Black), 9595908 (Chrome) ref only.

These wheels were designed by Hutchinson to be a functional replacement for the H3 OEM wheels with double beadlocks.

06 was talking about your AR wheels with KM2's, not the Hutchinson's. He was thinking you had 33" KM2's mounted on 18" diameter wheels.

I see, in my haste to make a smart a$$ remark I didn't read all the posts. I apologize for not reading all the posts, but not for the smart a$$ remark!

08SolarFlareH3 is correct, I originally had 32" tires on 20" wheels and I currently have 33" tires on 16" wheels. I'll be going to 35" tires on 16" double beadlock wheels.

Hunner: Thanks for the heads up on the valve stems. I’ll see if they come with the wheels or if I need to special order them.

If they are no longer available, then I’ll need your home address. :bd3:

I would assume that the external valve stems are included with the wheel. I would assume they include everything you need to install them with the exception of items that can be reused (lug nuts, center caps, tire pressure sensors and tires). I would assume they are similar to the schrader valves you can buy for filling air bags or air tanks.
