Came across this while surfing for H3 "stuff" Thought I would throw it out there.

Wayne Auto Parts in Dover Ohio are closing the doors in December 2013. We have (23) H3 HUMMERS for parts. Also (3) H2 HUMMERS for parts. Wrecked , None of the vehicles are rebuildable. There is a lot of good parts. We would sell parts or whole vehicles for parts. All have salvage titles. Contact Wayne Auto and ask for KEITH . 330-343-9622 . Also other vehicle parts available.

Yeah that ad has been on craigslist for months. I was going to grab my trailer, some tools, some cash, and drive over there (about 3 hours from me). Figured I could spend a day or two "harvesting" that crop! I was going to strip out some front axles, t-cases, lockers, off-road goodies, small parts, & such. But, after emailing and getting several price quotes...I changed my mind. Crush em.

I wish junkyard prices were not so high. I have an idea for a pair of front doors but not at those prices.

Yea....I had some ideas with all 4 doors.

Seems wrecking yards are not the best options sometimes. They know what they have and what it's worth. I have actually seen them higher than new parts

Yup! I called them for a front axle and they were dicks on the phone.

Guess the mystery of why they still have 23 truck for parts less then 5 months from closing the doors, is solved

For reasons unknown to me...some people view Hummers as being exoitc, high-end, and rare. I've lost track of how many Hummer parts I have chucked in the dumpster. -LOL

Seems like every time i find something like this it is always too good to be true. Most people figure because we drive Hummers we are loaded and will overspend for anything we do to them  NOT the case

I bought one or two things from them. Weren't great deals but were the best I could find. They were small and easy to ship. With other items the savings were nominal after shipping was included. Really was hoping we found a gold mine but it didn't work out
