Off roading is a life style , not just a phase in your life . Just look around at the ages of people at an off road race or event . Now think to yourself how many old dudes do see driving little tuner cars . Most of us will do this until we can't do it anymore and the we will put big off road tires on our wheelchairs and Rascal scooters .

45 and been driving a HUMMER since '07.

Honestly, if I weren't driving a HUMMER I'd be beating the hell out of some unfortunate, non-appropriate truck--got my 2WD GMC before I turned 17 (back in 86), lifted it 2" with Smitty-Bilt springs, 2" body lift and rear add-a-leafs. This was back when doing this stuff on 4WD's was the norm but relatively unheard of for 2WD's. I had quite a few people arguing with me about my truck being 4WD when I was going for that new "pre-runner" look; yes, tailgate off, pre-runner style spare tire mount on. Fly-N-Hi of Arizona was my inspiration and probably the cause of more than a few wet dreams with the trucks they were building back then.

USMC 315 yes just like that one . Sorry to see someone that young in a wheelchair . I would also like to thank Camp Pendleton for letting Dave and Trasharoo hold their Toys For Tots weekend event there. Last year.I would also like to remind all off readers out to donate money and/or time to 4W2H ( 4 WHEEL TO HEAL) and other organizations who help out our wounded warriors .

Hey, thanks for your insight. It's a simple poll, not what your thoughts are about it. Move on...

I bought my H3 5 years ago after coming back from contracting overseas and my pickup just wasn't big enough for family duties. I'm about 44 now, iirc (darn old-timers syndrome)

Bought my 06' H3 in April of 2006. I'm 41 and feel like I'm 21 when driving my rig. Best vehicle I've ever owned.

like a stingy-@ss pharo. You got an army of slaves building you a pyramid?
Now that **** right there is funny!

I have no idea on the chrome thing, I just know that what HUMMER put on the truck is well done and doesn't rust like any of the cheap crap I've ever seen before. Don't get me wrong, it needs to be limited and can't' have self adhesive if it's on my truck. A little goes a long way.
Oh yeah, and not trying to defend myself, but I rarely, actually shine it other than when I wash the truck to get rid of the millions of bug splats and I have to wipe it down or it water spots like a leopard.

And everybody knows there's NOTHING funny about leopard spotted chrome........

chrome on trucks has been around forever, its kind of a new thing to like blacked out trucks. manufacturers have only been selling them like that for a year or two. reasonable chrome, I mean. completely blinged out is just stupid and no one keeps track of that.

not that a truck has to be blacked out to be taken seriously, but it is kinda funny seeing a lot of trucks driving around the hwys and streets decked out in chrome, covered in stickers, and accessory laden like they are ready for a 6 month African safari. I like to stick with function over form...what the hummer was originally all about.
