Something is wrong with my h3... The battery light is always on my dash and It died in the middle of the road yesterday. I thought it was the battery so I went and got a new one but the light was still on and the new battery died again today!!! Then I thought it was my positive terminal cause it was corroded and in awful condition causing it to not charge, but I changed the positive terminal but it's still not charging... I would jump it and it would drive for like 1 min then shut off again (even after jumping it the battery light is still on the dash). What's wrong with it? Someone please help!! It's sitting at a gas station right now.

about $150 for the alternator. Its not very easy to access so if you cant do it yourself I would think a shop is going to charge 2-3 hrs labor

I probably can find a buddy to do it for me... Do you think we can just change it at the gas station or do I need to tow it somewhere?

Sounds like the alternator, but I would just go ahead and change out the positive and negative cables, the stock ones are terrible.

I just upgraded to a 250 amp alternator in my '08 Alpha and have my stock 145 amp alternator sitting in my basement in case my HO alternator goes out. If it will fit in your vehicle, I could probably sell it to you?

I had switched my alternator to a 325 amp one about an year ago, so I could eventually add a dual battery system, I finally got around to doing it, and let me tell you, it's just a great piece of mind to know you have a back up system like this if you ever need it!
