There are pics on one of the old forums of me, Bebe, Neo and some others. No video though. On my phone otherwise I'd dig them up and post.

You guys have done alot of tough trails and it seems like you really have pushed the limits in capabilities.

Yeah, back in '06 I think. It was my first trip to Moab. Also did Lion's Back, Hell's Gate and Escalator that trip. :)

I would love to see an H3 or videos of one doing Potato Salad Hill. Tough obstacle for an H3.

I wont understand why its so tough until I get to moab one day...I have seen H1's do this without too much trouble though.

It is the in person thing Chris. I have done Potato Salad Hill in several of my H1s but if you aren't on a great line you aren't going to make it.

seems like another point for the excuse to go to moab. I just HAVE TO see it in person to understand it

H3s are just the wrong wheelbase/height for Potato Salad. While I wasn't there when Sewie, Bebe and Neo went up I'm betting it was a good combination of skill, spotting, a perfect line, luck and strong nerves. The H3 gets high centered right at the very top. We watched an FJ try a couple of years ago and they have similar specs to the H3. He came so close on several attempts and had to be winched by "T" over the last obstacle.

My first trip out to MOAB I watched all the H1's go up with little to no effort. Then I watched an H2 go up with some effort, and it was on aftermarket tires. I sat at the bottom wanting to put the 3 on it, but it was my first nite in town and I didn't want to kill it straight out the gate.
Funny thing about 'Tater Salad is the damn thing's only about 6 feet long, shortest obstacle in MOAB. It's ALL about getting a good line, and not trying it in your 3!

Alrock, That is a cool video I have seen that one before. It seems like wheelbase will sometimes help you out alot or kill you, it just depends on the obstacle and in moab it seems like there are plenty of spots to challenge any wheelbase and rig

Scarsman that thing must have a doubler. That thing is geared soooo low!

I have seen built rigs walk all over potato salad hill and even drive back and forth across the face of it. Of course they had articulation that we only dream of but very entertaining to watch.
