Gas Prices going up...

The self-fulfilling prophesy, aka American Media Hype, has announced that gas prices are "skyrocketing" even saying that filling a Suburban will take $120. Great, it is amazing how the gas stations raise the prices overnight even though the gas tank is full - yet when the prices drop it takes weeks to see the change at the pump.

:gaah: I know. Soap Box and Dead Horse.

What if the news was something like, "US oil supply is at a record level and we have plenty of gas, oil and fuel so there's no real need to worry about the Iranian threats."

Nope. That won't sell.

:deadh:

I saw my local station shoot up 10 cents today... I hate the volatility of oil.

I typically try and fill up in across the river in MD when I can. It's always cheaper than the panhandle here in WV.

Obama administration rejects Keystone oil pipeline

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Obama administration on Wednesday rejected the Keystone crude oil pipeline project,
a decision welcomed by environmental groups but blasted by the domestic energy industry. U.S. President Barack Obama s
aid TransCanada's application for the 1,700-mile (2,740-km) pipeline was denied because the State Department did not have enough time to complete the review process. ...

Oil Prices (which I monitor everyday along with the markets)..Follow the DJIA pretty much.. as the dollar weakens and the Markets are climbing..so is oil.

So long as oil is considered a commodity, it will generally follow the markets.

Gas here today for E10 $2.91 at a 7-11 I use for price monitoring just to see the trends..

And that PHUCKING stupid azz Obama!!!!!..Caving in to the ignorant; no job, walking on Wall street, lazy azz leaflickers on the Keystone Pipe line....

Did I mention that Obama is a STUPID AZZ?

Wonder what I should Say this side....

We are paying R10.51 for 1 liter of 93 unleaded

if you take it that 4.5 liter makes roughly 1 Gallon, that means we are paying R47.29 per gallon.... the current exchange rate is R8.1 per $ so we are sitting at $5.84 per gallon :whaa:

You all should try owning a diesel. The fuel is easier to refine than gasoline, yet it is 70 cents a gallon more. I think the price of diesel is artificially inflated in order to keep the price of gasoline down so the general population won't bitch so much. I just love getting ass-raped every time I fill up

Diesel just dropped from $4.15 to $4.09 per gallon here. Love how Newseek just called all of us dumb because we question Obama's omnipotence. Haven't read that liberal rag in 20 years. This is just another reminder of why.

I hate Newsweek as well. They all have an agenda so it's hard to believe anything nowdays. One thing for sure...nobody in Washington has our best interests in mind.

The diesel price thing has been frustrating. I think it was in '04 (the yr I bought my hummer) that the price of diesel fuel over-took the price of gasoline.

hehehehehe

I have no idea how our prices are calculated, but it sure is a mystery 95 unleaded is only R0.15 per liter ($0.08 per galon) more expensive than 93 unleaded.

but to be true, the fuel price will never be a reason for me to let my Hummer go, Ill just eat less meat, and drink less :horns:

Hard to understand how deisel could cost more than premium. It used to to never even cost as much as the 87 octane.

it's easy to understand. You charge more for diesel (and jet fuel) so you can sell gasoline for a lower profit margin without affecting your overall bottom line. In other words, the extra money charged for diesel subsidizes gasoline to keep its price artificially lower. That keeps people form bitching so much about "high GAS prices". Never mind that they are paying for it anyway every time they buy any goods, since all on-land freight is hauled with diesel powered trucks and trains.
