Wow---can't imagine going back to a 3. Gotta go with what M22 said, you're probably not going to like it after coming out of a 2. Don't get me wrong, the Alpha will have the power and size you like, but it's just not a 2 and I think you're really going to miss that.
You might want to see if you can get your hands on one for a day or longer and live with it and see what you think.
I don't drive the deuce near as much as I want to, every day would be fine for me. But I've got a 30 mile round trip drive to work and it's just not practical. Given that, I try to drive the deuce to work at least once a week and on the weekend. It just makes me love it even more. I can't believe how a truck this size can be this refined---I love the way it drives. That's not to mention how much I really like the interior. I just never got that much of a warm fuzzy feeling with the 3---and I thought I really liked driving it.
