I've been in contact with him. He's supposed to get a quote to ship it to me. Said its half used parts half new.
Try to get the original receipt if you can. From the other guys that have done this it appears that the only way to get spares or warranty replacements is with that receipt.

Just to follow up; This guy called em after texting back and forth. Stated he is a shop owner and a customer brought in the lift to have installed on his H3. Once the truck was up on the lift they noticed it already had the identical Tuff Country lift previously installed . Customer then stated he just wanted the visible parts replaced so it looked new (IE; skid plate and shocks) Shop owner told me its as good as mine as long as i paid shipping, I told him that wouldn't be an issue and he was going to get back to me that night with a shipping quote. Long story short, he never called back, I followed up the next afternoon and received no response and no answer when I called. I suppose he either sold it locally or is holding out for a local sale.

So I tried to get in touch with him by texting him and got a response almost immediately. The lift kit is still for sale he says. I just asked if he's willing to ship. I have no intention of going under you and buying it when you had first shot[emoji106] was just trying to see if I could get some info so you wouldn't be in the dark.

So someone brought the truck in to discuss a lift kit, owner of the shop inspects the truck and gives a quote....

Nobody even noticed that the truck sat 4" higher than from the factory?

It doesn't take a professional mechanic to realize a vehicle has a lift kit.

We could assume the owner of the truck was uneducated, but realistically, would you sell your truck to someone without advertising or mentioning it had a 2K lift kit on it?

Something doesn't smell right here regarding the seller.....

Right, I used to work in a bunch of shops, the last being a "performance" shop, which had the lowest morals(Didnt stay long -__-). This kind of sounds like something my old boss would do:
-Truck comes in to have lift installed
-Customer doesnt realize lift was already on truck
-shop charges for full installation
-replaces only what is seen (ie; rusty shocks, roadrash skid plates, ect.)

On the other hand, like you said, did the customer not look at his truck to see it had an emblem on the cross member or other clues? Did he not google what his truck would look like with the lift installed before buying and think it looked similar to its current stance?

Idk, I cant get an answer from him.
